I have feeling it won't happen, though, Adzz. Like Eekeekekeke I've got the gift of foresight.

Jedi-like.

I've got to say the deal for Messi does look to be on the rocks - so don't get excited lads.

Hold on - just saw suspicious looking Argentine midget go past front windows - either Messi or Eva Peron

Yeah, he might be their best player, but that shouldn't mean there is no relation to his quality and the clubs retarded valuation of a player.

But he's their player. It's up to them to decide if they're better off keeping Carroll than getting 35m. Maybe they don't feel they'd be able to attract the type of players that would justify the sale?

Who knows, all I'm saying is that the right is not with the bidding club, it's with the holding club. And if they don't wanna sell, they shouldn't have to just because X amount of money is being offered.

If someone offered me 10 quid for my family I'd tell them to feck off, if someone offered me 50 billion for my family I'd still tell them to feck off.

The amount of money shouldn't hold the power, the contract should.

bloody hell, I wouldn't today...driving me bloody mad...

Sort of like us with Ronaldo....Except Ronaldo was the best player in the world and the fee somewhat resembled that.

Yeah, well I guess a Carroll is like a Ronaldo to Newcastle, afterall they've just come up from the Championship while we're playing in the Champion's League.

bensmith_Times I'm told the deal for Andy Carroll to join #lfc will now
go through at £35m #nufc

Yeah, I know all of that...But realistically it's money they can invest in a load of quality players that they couldn't otherwise afford. It's as much as they will ever get for him, that I'm sure of. I'm confident that had they not wanted to sell him, they would have just said he's not for sale from the start, clearly, they are interested.

Reports are that they are stalling to look for a replacement, so it doesn't seem to be motivated by any of this 'we don't want to sell him' stuff.

There's nothing funny about someone who spends so much time posting on a football forum, knowing nothing at all about football... Wait a minute, no you're right thats pretty funny

Exactly, you've just described yourself.

Rioferdy5: Carrol has huge potential no doubt,is 35m still not a hefty sum of money in this recession we r meant to be in!?He will be top player #fact

Yes, but he's really not like Ronaldo for us. In anyway.

He's obviously not near his ability, no-ones debating that, and he hasn't done enough for them to warrant the sort of talk like he's single-handedly brought them up or keeping them up. Because he didn't and isn't.

It amazes me that people still want to join Liverpool.

£35m plus add ons is insane. We got robbed only getting £80m for Ronaldo!

It was the deal that moved the market into hyper-inflation, sadly, had we have been selling him now, we'd be getting atleast 40 million in what I know call the Hypo-Hyper-Inflated market.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a sensational €35 million offer for Giuseppe Rossi turned down by Villarreal CF , according to Sky Italia. The network says the Spanish club are refusing to sell the player for anything less than his €50M buyout clause

what the feck
