I'm thinking of going, hopefully I'll have passed my driving test then and have this penciled in as my first outing.

Nice one. I lived in Swaledale so hopefully will be able to stay with friends and see them pass through here ....

I think it's the nature of an endurance event.

The end of Le Mans isn't that exciting either, the teams often wait for each other down Mulsanne & cross the line together in formation. It's the spectacle of the stage though, the riders charging up & down the Champs Elysees, the sprint finish etc.

I'm sure if it had been close yesterday, then it would pan out differently & they would have raced right to the wire. The hard work goes in over the whole 3 weeks. Like the Champions League, if you're top of the group, they play a weakened side, the hard work's already been done.

One of the best tours I've seen. Starting in Corsica was an inspired choice. Froome is the man now, and Quintana may push him in future. Don't think anyone else is at the same level or potential as Froome - not the top Spaniards or Nibali or Wiggins or Porte.

Wiggins probably concentrate more on gold in Rio.....didn't seem overly interested in the epic training required anymore to do the Tour or Giro.

Though I think he'll ride next year with the English start. But there probably won't be another Tour tailor made for him to win rather than Froome.
