Why do we let teams back into the game.
Guys, our plan is always to score 1 goal per game and at present everything is going to plan.
As long as we reach half time with 0-0, LVG will be happy.
In the 2nd half we will try and "nick" a goal and we shall look to Martial to do this.
The above is the very reason why I want LVG gone. I am tired of boring football, where the only way we can win is 1-0.Well that was poor.Another half of crap. When he has a more cohesive, functional attacking unit around him he'll be better off. Should never have to carry the mantle for us at his age. Understandably feels the need to try and create things all on his own at the moment.
We had a bit of possession for a spell but created absolutely nothing, i wouldn't say Spurs were exactly out of the game at any point.LvG and his disjointed tactics. Get the ball to the fullbacks who then lump with the hope that one of our forwards can latch on to it. Rinse and repeat.
The gap between the two DMs and Lingard is as big as a 5 a side pitch. Having Mata to constantly Chase down Rose is just dumb.Stalemate in a big game, when does that ever happen, not sure what everyone was expecting but this is pretty much what we can hope for.
I'd like to see lingaard anywhere but our first 11, such a average player who has no actual key attribute, effectively playing with 10 men, mata is a useless player in a game like this, hasn't the pace to influence the game as he is constantly right back

Both sides need something a bit different this second half.
Maybe because almost everyone around him is useless and static.we were quicker to the ball in midfield...they are now getting a better grip.

Yeah that's what I thought. It's a double edged sword but considering Eriksen's ability and tendency to do his creative play through the middle, I'd say it's a decent choice to follow him.
The obvious problem is that it leaves Lamela coming wide with Rose supporting leaving Mata as the defensive support but Blind has come across tightly several times too.
It's either change Lingard to the right and move Mata central or bring on Herrera for either one of them OR for Carrick, who has been a passenger again.
Or even bringing on Valencia. He will bring width, pace down the right and ball rentention. Allow Young, this game doesn't suit him i.e tight spaces, being creative on the turn etc; he'll just be another hard working right sided midfielder. The same could be said for Valencia of course but I think he'll offer more penetration with his direct running opposed to Young's cross-at-every-opportunity, where we'll have no one there.
Own goal to us? I'd take that. Spurs would shit themselves.Hopefully we see a bit more urgency and fluidity in attack from the lads in the 2nd half. We seem solid enough defensively, Fosu Mensah is looking good.
