Prison Break Season 1 was phenomenal, there is no question about that.
Season 2,3 and 4 weren't as good but for an individual season of any given show I've seen, none have been better than Prison Break season 1.
You need to see more shows, it's fine but I wouldn't even say it's the best series set in a prison. Oz and Porridge are better (in very different ways mind you!).
Go and watch it again, back to back, one episode after another, if you pass 3 days and you're still watching, you've let time go too far.
My favourites - although it could change sooner rather than later as I have another 5 or 6 boxsets to watch.

I just spent the last several months watching all 5 seasons back to back, pure genius it was.
I would agree with that actually. Season 1 of Prison Break was quite possibly the greatest season of any TV show I've saw. Unfortunately the rest of the seasons weren't as good so that's why it wasn't at the top.
They don't make theme tunes like that any more, toe tappin brilliant.
Reading this thread made me realise that Friends is genuinely underrated.

I like The Wire fine, but I wouldn't call it the best TV show ever made. To each his own, I guess.
Along with The Sopranos it would be yeah. It's probably 50/50 between them. Certainly my favourite ever show.

Just finished the first season of Rome, enjoyed it. I hate the main character but some of the important historical characters are spot on, like Caesar, Antonius.

The second season of Rome was even better than the first one.
South Park is about as funny as getting cancer of the arse.
Id have liked to put Red Dwarf in but could not decide what to drop, and Minder was Class.

I disagree strongly, the recent series haven't been all that great but South Park on form has had me crying with laughter.

Most expensive and also one of the shittest. You'd think with all that money they'd hire a decent writer.
That really is laughable. Terra Nova is absurdly bad. I could understand if a show like Boardwalk Empire cost more to make than Rome, but Terra Nova..
