mata hat einen großen Schwanz... aber verkaufen ist größer.

I think this is just another contract renewal exercise to be honest. Hopefully not.
Surely this joke dies with the signing of Mata.

Doesn't sauerkraut come in jars?

Cue mass debate about whether Mata or Osman jokes are the funniest...And the Osman jokes as well I hope.
Woody might have signed Juan, but mata he done for us lately? Eh? Just thought I'd put forward my submission for the worst Mata pun award.Surely this joke dies with the signing of Mata.
Anyone that actually reads German able to find anything in the German press this morning?

On my first attempt? Brilliant. You win.
I keep hearing this, but I'm interested to know what it's based on. I get he's come up through their system, but it's not like people don't leave their clubs. So why does everyone seem to think that he's the German Scholes off the pitch, as well as on it?Nope. He also won´t leave Bayern. There was a way bigger chance of getting Fabregas than him, which does not say much, though.
Strengthening when you're strong, particularly in areas we failed to replace would've made us stronger no?
Sir Alex's investments 2009 onwards didn't do enough to properly replace key players like Giggs and Scholes and that is an undeniable fact, regardless of success. It's certainly made David Moyes' job more difficult!
KroosAshley Young was Giggs' replacement. SAF's words, not mine. Sure he says something about Ando for Scholes too.
That's essentially my point to Mad Winger without being to specific in the Kroos thread. We didn't do enough class-for-class under Sir Alex in the last few years, it's an undeniable fact.Ashley Young was Giggs' replacement. SAF's words, not mine. Sure he says something about Ando for Scholes too.

Not really, he has 18 months left on his contract, I don't care what club you are, when that happens the player could leave if you don't pay up.Nope. He also won´t leave Bayern. There was a way bigger chance of getting Fabregas than him, which does not say much, though.

Sphaero please stop killing my Kroos-erection. I don't appreciate it.
I suppose.Bayern Munich does not sell players they want to keep. Its that simple. There is also absolutely no reason for him to leave Bayern. He is rated there and currently playes for the best team on the planet. His next contract will also make him one of the top earners in the team, so there is also no financial reason.
He has been in contract talks for a while, and they've stalled. My point is if Bayern don't give him what he wants, and that might happen, they do have Thiago, then he could leave. Is he actually first choice for them with everyone fit?He is in contract talks for a while now and simply wants to get a little bit more money out of the situation. Oh, and I´m certainly not a Red. I prefer yellow and black
From what I've seen, he wasn't expected to be at the time they signed Thiago, but having had his chance, with the injuries they've had, he's really stepped up and staked his claim for a regular place in the starting XI.He has been in contract talks for a while, and they've stalled. I suppose.
He's seemingly had a similar rise through the Bayern system as Scholes, in the sense that he's a fairly local lad that came though young and made the first team pretty quickly at just 17. He also seems a very professional lad, too.
Well that'll teach me not to assume. I knew he was from Greifswald, but had no idea where it was, so assumed it was local to Munich.Local? He is from Greifswald in north east Germany and got his first football education in Rostock. He was brought to Bayern fairly soon, though.

This is partly what I'm getting at, though. He seems to give off this impression that he's a Bayern lifer....and I'm interested to know if it's warranted.

Hopefully they're getting vier and not fünf!The german media has the same info as the english.. Moyes was with his agent and the only player that has any connections there is Kroos.. So they are putting 2+2 together...
