There might have been scared kids in those hotels which were petrol bombed :rolleyes: Anyone with a brain cell is probably concerned about the level of immigration but it should be based purely on the ability of the country to cope. We hear all the time that we are a small country and dont have the room, or the finances etc. If that's true and not just social media scare-mongering, then the government has a responsibility to spell it out and deal with it - but I've never heard them say anything which supports the theory, so is it just something used as an excuse by racist bigots who are quick to believe everything that suits them on SM. Originators of lies on SM should be prosecuted - there are regular offenders.

Is immigration too high? Is immigration too low? Who knows.

Do we have a society that has complicated issues but rather then debate the wider causes, we blame the Asian guy who moved next door. Maybe.

It's also interesting we're all talking about immigration when it was a guy from Cardiff that committed that awful crime last week in Southport.

It's even more interesting that the guys leading the anti immigration rhetoric usually complain they are being cancelled even though moat of them are spouting this nonsense have benefitted for years from a media that refuses to question anything they say.
