So don't delete if you have it installed.

Well one part is a bit lazy to re-download it again, and another, with having "the fastest internet setups" :wenger: I can't be bothered with waiting that long again. Have to thank my country's ministers for that.

Yeah my connection is slow too. Took me ages to download it the first time - even in rest mode.

That one is an interesting and good adjustment. It's crazy that your timer should be completely reset after killing a player in defence at rogue 5.

Not sure how they can. It's an exit from the safehouse. Maybe they have removed that exit completely, but I find that unlikely.

You didn't need to use that rope to get out of that safe house. I wonder if they'll change it so you don't get placed into the safe house if you run into the beta area. I abused that so hard as when rogue.

I do like a lot of the changes they've made. The Dark Zone chests refresh is good because i don't think i ever got any loot from those. The enemy players increasing is also good because we ended up just running to the same places to loot NPC's, and even then they were to easy to kill.

Wonder how many high end weapons they've added. Hopefully it'll be a good selection, as towards the end of the last beta, everybody was using the same assault/sniper rifle combo.

You didn't need to use that rope to get out of that safe house.
I know. It was still an exit, nonetheless. The point of having multiple exits is so that you can't be camped inside. Removing the window exit would be a bad move, unless they've adjusted the building model to allow easier ascent and descent, as it's too high to jump from, hence the rope.

Sounds interesting. We shall see if it changes the balance. At times I see the guy would run faster than me, and a couple of times the guy crawled for safety much much faster than me running. LOL! I guess it is lag thing but still funny to watch it.

Wow the graphics on this game are so 'dumbed down' for PC.

That's it modded though. There are mods which make Morrowind look excellent by today's standards.

Doesn't change the fact Ubisoft were lazy with the optimisation, just as they had been with WatchDogs.

 No, that's how it looks on PC. The 'mod' is just SweetFX, which isn't actually a mod as you'd get for Morrowind, Skyrim, GTA etc. User-created, hi-poly models and hi-res textures. The game is in beta, so there are no mods. SweetFX simply allows you to tweak post-processing effects. It alters no game files and it's certainly not going to make vanilla Morrowind look this generation by any stretch.

A few of my screenshots, only at 1920 x 1080, without SweetFX....but with Fraps' terrible JPEG compression...

It's as good-looking as any other game out at the moment, barring Tomb Raider and Battlefront.

Oh man they've also nerfed being able to run faster with a Grenade out... Used that so many times to disappear in the Dark Zone.

Except they haven't. You have an axe to grind with Ubi following Siege, or most games tbh when reading your posts but Brocky has already posted 1080p screenshots that look better than Watchdogs in 4k. The game looks excellent.

MSI Afterburner lets you capture screens in PNG. then upload to abload, and hey presto, you got no compression.

If I do get it, it'll be the PS4 version cos the caf crew is there. No 60fps for me. :(

Since Assassins Creed and Watch Dogs really :)

The point is I WANT to get into this game, its definitely up my alley in terms of concept and naturally I want to get it on the PC, but I can't help but be frustrated because of some of the lazy design and optimisation choices courtesy of Ubisoft, and this is something they've been notorious for in the last couple of years.

Anyway I might actually take the plunge on this since there's nothing else decent on the horizon.

The sticky-bomb at your feet while running trick might still work. :)

Not aimed directly at you, Kaos, but Zarlak is bang on. It does seem that people are finding it difficult to let go of the (mostly deserved) hate for Ubi, when it really does seem that they are actually listening to the players and are trying to turn a page. For me, this game seems to be a big step in the right direction. Tbf, having most of the pre-beta footage releases come from the XBone version didn't help their cause, as people will naturally compare that with the E3 footage, but it's way off the mark to say that The Division is "another WatchDogs". The PC version really isn't that far away from the E3 demo.

I do use Afterburner as my GPU clocking and monitoring utility, but there's no option for screen capture. I'm guessing that is part of the Riva Tuner utilities thing that I chose not to install, right...?

When you launch it, click settings, and then screen capture.

There are no real 'crews' to speak of. Will mainly be a case of people grouping up as and when they want to/are available. At times I played with Brocky and at others I played with @Hal9000.

I don't have the option, bud. I didn't install the Riva Tuner Statistics Server component. That's what gives the FPS counter and capture abilities.

Cheers for the tip, though. I might add it, but I try to keep actively running stuff to a minimum.

So is this actually good or is it another repetitive dopamine fest like Destiny?
