Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

Does anybody else have the same problem, I have some gold items with amazing stats, they perfectly fit my skills and give me better health/dps than a lot of the gear set items.

I really want to use some GS items for the buffs, but it isn't worth downgrading that badly. My GS is only 188 so I seem weak, but I hold my own with pretty much everybody now

Hopefully once the new DZ bracket happens it'll be easier to move on.

Bought the M1A blueprint. Rolled 30 of them, no brutal+deadly :(
This isn't against you personally, but I think a lot of times people are too preoccupied with having a perfect weapon, rather than being content with a very good/great weapon.

Actually, given that you've just rolled 30 times, maybe it is directed at you ;)

Crafting is shite on this game though, there's no real reward for farming materials. I tried crafting mods and after about 16 none were better than I already had. Haven't bothered since.

I'd wait to buy blueprints.
With gearscore about to rise with the new update (I assume), it is a lot of money for something that may be deemed useless in a week or two

Dark zone was a good craic. Died few times but was fun chasing rogues an the like, never seen so many random agents together.

Can anyone tell me a good loadout to get really good dps and health? I'm a 201 gear score but I can't seem to get beyond 180k DPS and 90K health without drastically affecting the one or the other?

I currently run a Liberator 182 lvl and an M1A 204 lvl, 3 pieces of Nomad, 2 Striker and 1 Tactician vest. Simply this is the best i have found.

But people are running round with like 250dps and 150 health!

You've just got to get lucky with your drops, some are more dps/health than others. Having mod slots on gear really helps too as you can bump them by like 4K each.

Anyone know when the May content is out?

Haven't been online for a few days and tbh I haven't missed it. Will give the final free update a session or 2 and then see what's up after that.

Same, the only real fun i have in the game now is going rogue/chasing rogues.

Then again this is what it got to just before the last major patch, i stopped played for about a two weeks before that dropped.

With crafting being nerfed, and even more a grindfest, and 163 drops being the new purple it's almost not worth the time now.

Incursion is OK, but 30 minutes work to possibly get the strikers backpack i need, is not appealing.

Virtually the same as me, iv'e got a pretty much balanced build with 2000+ points on skills/health/electronics.

How ever a lot of people seem to have low electronics, but have increased the skill points by drops/mods, and then focused on Firearms and Stamina.

Iv'e seen people with near 3000 firearms and stamina and like 800/900 electronics, but the electronics skill is near the same as mine.

For me the balance for electronics is wrong. If you electronics score is 2000 you expect to get around 20,000. How ever you quite get some good drops you quite often get +4000/+5000 electronics and the game lets you get away with having builds focused towards DPS or Health. You can't do that for firearms and health, because the boost you get to weapon damage or health are minute compared to your overall score.

Still no release date for 1.2

Changes during this weeks maintenance:
More anti-spam measures for in-game chat

Sentry's Call Bug
•Sentry's Call bug is known and will be fixed with 1.2
•At the moment, sometimes players will be marked with the Sentry's Call – debuff, when they are close to players that wear the Sentrys Call Set.
•When you have the debuff-mark, the current workaround is logout / login

Weekly Incursion Reward Problem
•At the moment, the weekly incursion reset is at 2am CET
•When you start playing the Incursion before the reset, and finish it after the reset, the game considers you to have done it in the new week and you won't get the weekly reward.
•Players have also reported that they did not get the weekly reward later in the week, this is under investigation

1.2 New Features
•There will be New Gear Sets and some of those will buff specific weapons (very vague)
•Voip-indicator of the player is now in the UI, so you will know when you are broadcasting
•Phoenix Credits cap will be 2000
•Max Gear Score of the items will stay at 204 / 240
•On the Inventory-Screen "Health" will be replaced with a new attribute "Toughness"
•Toughness is the sum of Health / Stamina / Armor – it won't include attribute such as "Protection against Elite" etc, but it gives you a better understanding, if the new item gives you a buff or not.

1.2 Incursion
•New incursion will have the same gear requirement as Falcon Lost
•Will have a new name and not Broken Circle
Basically everything you see now on the map about the new incursion is placeholder
•There is no thing as purple gear-sets (but there will be new sets)

1.2 Balancing Weapons
•Metagame should move away from Vector / Aug / M1A because they are very easy to obtain right now.
•1.2 will be a first step in the direction to move away from the known craftable weapons
•In 1.2 the player will get more / better weapons, so they will also use the archetypes that are now not so popular ( also supported with the new gear-sets)
•Weapons will not be directly touched in 1.2
•They are re-balancing weapon talents like Brutal (bonus will be additive) / Balanced (mentioned last week)
•They will be gathering a lot of data and after that, there will be a big balance of the weapons after 1.2 when they have a better understanding of the impact of the rebalanced talents and the new gear-sets

1.2 Balancing Sentry's Call
•Sentry's Call is very OP right now in comparison to the other gear sets
•After 1.2 the debuff-mark it will only be applied with semi-automatic weapons such as Pistol / Shotgun / Marksmen rifle

1.2 Balancing Performance Mods
•Performance-Mods will be buffed to compensate the absence of a Character Attribute – the skill-buff will be a lot higher

1.2 Balancing Armor / Damage Mitigation
•Armor Cap is increased
•Damage Mitigation is increased to 75% (right now it is 65%) - this should compensate the higher damage that got available with the new gear.
•But to get 75% Damage Mitigation you will have to sacrifice other stats.

Until 1.2, think I'll just log in, do the dz challenge to get the 7.5k and feck off again. Bored of grinding with all the balancing and new gearsets/weapons/new DZ 200+

Thats all I've been doing, and even sometimes I skip that

Ya, I skipped the lmb one as I couldn't do it on my own. Haven't even bothered with daily challenges for Pheonix coins. Was away for a few days and got out of the habit of playing too.

The dark zone is being ruined by gangs of people teaming up, purposely going rogue and then letting the timer run out or killing people who come to find the rogues. It happened in 2 different servers last night, one with a group of 7/8 different people all wearing hazmat suits!. We ran up towards them thinking it was a big group having a battle, but no they just kill you all instead.

Really ruins the point of the game, not sure how it could be stopped either.

Anyone else struggled to get on the incursion (falcon lost) I keep restarting in a safe house as soon as I'm reamed up or end up just thrown out to entrance before getting anywhere

Free 1.2 update coming May 24th - looking forward to it!

What content will be available with this second free update?

Petter Mannerfelt: In our second free update, Conflict, we are increasing the amount of high-end loot drops, and adding four more gear sets. Players with a high gear score will also be able to enter a new high-level Dark Zone bracket.

Also, players can now hijack ongoing extractions in all Dark Zone brackets and Sealed Caches will now have a chance to drop from named enemies.

In the open world, we are introducing Search and Destroy missions, which will reward you with intel to help you locate High Value Targets.

Clear Sky, an additional group-centered Incursion, has also been added.

What kind of new items are you introducing with this update?

PM: With Conflict, we are introducing new high-end weapons and four new gear sets:

  • Final Measure is a new defensive set.
  • Hunter’s Faith is a new long range set.
  • Predator’s Mark new support set.
  • Lone Star is a DPS (damage per second) gear set.

Hijack Extractions are now possible in the Dark Zone. How does this new feature work?

PM: Players will now be able to interrupt an ongoing extraction by cutting the rope to have all the attached loot bags drop to the ground. This means that you will have to defend your extractions to ensure the loot doesn’t get stolen.

Will I go Rogue if I hijack an extraction?

PM: Yes, you will go Rogue if you hijack an extraction.

What are Search and Destroy missions, and how do you get access to them?

PM: You can find the Search and Destroy missions in the safehouses of named zones once all side missions and encounters have been completed. The missions lead you to locations in the open world where groups of enemies are located.

Can you elaborate a bit more on High Value Targets?

PM: High Value Targets are dangerous faction leaders. They are a threat to society and need to be stopped. Complete Search and Destroy missions to be granted enough intel to find the whereabout of these targets. There are both daily and weekly High Value Targets contracts, and some of them require a group effort to complete.

What are Sealed Caches, and where can they be found?

PM: Named enemies will have a chance to drop Sealed Caches in the Dark Zone. The Sealed Caches contain mystery items which include gear, division tech and Dark Zone funds.

Do Sealed Caches need to be extracted?

PM: Yes, Sealed Caches are contaminated and need to be extracted.

What is the backstory of the Clear Sky Incursion?

PM: In Columbus Circle, Rikers have seized one of the anti-aircraft sites abandoned by the Last Man Battalion. Now, they control the entire Manhattan airspace, and are taking possession of the supply drops.

How many players does Clear Sky support? Is it still up to four players?

PM: All Incursions are designed for teams of four players. They are also accessible for one to three players, but the missions will be very challenging, as enemies are scaled for four players.

What loot can I expect for completing Clear Sky?

PM: On Hard mode, you can expect High End items with a 204 gear score, and Gear Set items with a 214 gear score every time you complete the mission. You also get double rewards the first time you complete the incursion every week.

Challenge mode rewards you with gear score 204 High End items and 240 Gear Set pieces every time you complete the Incursion, as well as double rewards once a week.

Are there checkpoints?

PM: Yes, there is a checkpoint after the first encounter.

In the Clear Sky Incursion, will it just be my group, or will there be other players to encounter, like in the Dark Zone?

PM: You will only see your group while playing the Incursion.

Not so sure I like the ability to cut the rope in the DZ - seems like an unnecessary complication - particularly as the biggest issue in the DZ is OP groups. This just makes it easier for them to screw you over. The relief when you finally attach your loot to the rope is a good feeling - not even then it's not secure until the helicopter departs.

Someone posted on a different forum that the other issue is that you go rogue if you cut the rope - which is fine. But if you have attached your loot, then see someone approaching it. You can't defend the rope by killing them - as that will make you go rouge. But then if you wait, they could cut the rope and you lose your gear. Of course, you have no idea if they are approaching the rope to simply attach their items, or steal yours. Seems like a pain, more than anything else.

I do like the addition to the PvE areas, and the new Incursion. Hopefully this one actually requires team work and coordination beyond simply throwing down support stations.

Am also curious about the new gear sets - although I hope they make them easier to attain. There are now 8 sets, so trying to find 4 of the one that best fits your playstyle is going to be even harder. The sets are meant to be used to enhance the effectiveness of your squad, and to allow different roles to flourish. If it then makes it pure chance which pieces you can collect, then it is not actually helping you. Even something simple, like if you complete the incursion, then each person should get an item from a different set = that way you could actually trade between you more easily. Or increase the ways in which you can get the different pieces - even if they are very expensive. The Advanced vendor should stock all of them, in my opinion. To try and get the gloves I am looking for, I have to resort to blind luck. This is a lazy game design mechanic, in my mind.

Don't like the hijack extraction, makes it close to impossible for solo players to extract anything

Be interesting to see the new set bonus, 4 solo star and 2 final measure could be the way to go?
