Rangnick has been getting some sht about the performances recently and everyone wants him gone in summer. There are also people like Mica Richards saying his reputation will be damaged when he moves upstairs and why did we hire an interim etc. But I think now is the time the fans should stick by him and support him. He is neck deep in this pile of infested sht that is Man Utd and we, the fans should support him while he tries to squeeze the pus and sht out. Thats the only way we are ever going to get out of this never ending circle of mediocracy. Even if another manager comes in then these fkn useless bunch of clown footballers that cant even be arsed to put up a fight against our rivals City need to be knocked off their fkn perch. Its going to be ugly. Its going to be brutal. We might come 8th next season. Who knows. But its a cancer running through every part of our club and we cant stand for it any longer. It makes me sick. If you cant be fkn arsed to fight or the badge then there's the door. I dont care if your name is Rashford or anyone else. Fk off. Rangnick is doing Gods work and no matter what happens I will always hold him in the highest esteem for coming to help us and wading in neck deep in this fking sht show that is United.

Spot on.Strap in for the long haul and it ain't gonna be pretty.

I thought highly of him before he came and my opinion of him has actually increased, I think it is nothing short of a miracle that his record is what it is with this shower of shite.

Hard to have this attitude when he’s gone in may though. If he was the permanent boss I’d say back him with cash and let him ship out 10 players if he so wishes, but the dynamic makes it tricky.

His honesty is refreshing.

He's too wise and experienced to put up with the bullshit these players have given us over the last few years, that's probably why the players don't like him.

If we don't go for ETH, I'd like to see Ralf given it.

I don't, this 6 month stint was always going to be a hiding to nothing for him, even if he was a top manager (which no one ever thought), how can he be expected to change much in a sqaud brim full of wet blankets, and has beens, with no help in January, losing the brightest young player we had, whilst also letting 3 players go for the greater good, all whilst trying to implement a new philosophy on the club.

He's done ok imo, but if we are ever going to see the benefit of Rangnick it'll be from this summer onwards, that is if he is allowed to make some proper decisions, otherwise it'll all be for nothing.

City embarrassed us twice this season, and players are briefing that they want more minutes, they are not impressed with Rangnick etc. I hope RR kicks these players out of the club before he leaves. I would have no problem if you tell that next year we end up 8th but we have kicked out all the spoilt rats from the first team.

I'll stand by whoever is willing to do the job of weeding out all of the shite in the squad and give it a complete overhaul. Whoever is happy to ignore big names and remove them for the betterment of the team (eg Rashford, Ronaldo) and whoever is willing to make big decisions such as stripping Maguire of captaincy, will have my full support.

From what I've seen of Ralf so far I don't believe him to be a fool, nor a man who panders to ego's. I expect he'll be very forthcoming and direct with his assessment of the players when handing over to the next manager.

Yeah we should stand by him as there is no point in doing anything else. We should be getting more points but there is no viable alternative that will help with that.

The hubris of this club’s ownership is palpable. We’ve finished 7th and 6th over the last few years and managed to recover and claw our way back into the top four so I don’t think anyone is that worried about what happens this season. But they should be worried because every time we drop out of the CL, we get further away from where we used to be and the prospect of ever getting back there recedes. Getting on RR’s back will not help at all.

It would be great to have him as part of the club. he isn't nearly a good enough coach though. he might be able to improve but why we would give him that opportunity. should be moved upstairs in summer. obviously micah richards doesn't have a notion what hes talking about

only thing I look forward to in this season is Ralf Rangnick.
This guy is weeding out the shite mentality that has crept in; the social media players, who spend more time on IG than on training field. The players who brief their views through media. The players who listens more to their agents than to their managers. The players who employ a dedicated PR team instead of delivering on the pitch.
Ideally I would get the Glazers out first, but if they stand by Ralf, then I would let them stay for now. We are a circus nowadays. Players are bought for their PR/sponsor values instead of merit.

We simply must support Rangnick to the hilt. He has been our most important signing in years. Back him to weed out the dross, whingers, skivers, posers and mercenaries and back him with a rebuild to get us serious contenders again for the PL and CL. Tommy Docherty did it in the mid 1970's, Ralf needs to be backed in 2022 and beyond.

doesn't that make it a bit easier?

if he's not manager in May anyway, then why not show him support for the next few months? I don't see any reason not to

if he isn't gone in May then yeah I agree

He’s doing ok for an interim though obviously we are still a mess

Conte has lost 8 games this year despite having Kane & son on form
Imagine what we would do to a United boss who lost even half that amount?
And according to many here we should have been all over Conte.

Think the best thing he's done is not protect the players at every turn. He's not thrown them under the bus either, but he hasn't minced words.

There's too many bluffers and players more interested in being comfortable rather than being held accountable for performances and fighting for minutes.

Are players like Fred or McTominay the caliber we need to win titles in the starting XI? Probably not, but they're not BS artists. They give you everything they have when they're on the pitch and have qualities useful in a squad.

Players like Pogba and this current version of Rashford, who have all the talent in the world, but not the commitment are much bigger problems. I think Ralf recognizes that mentality as much as talent identification to suit a unified vision in recruitment in the transfer market is a massive issue at the club. Cleaning up this mess isn't going to be bloodless, and Ralf doesn't seem afraid to get his hands dirty. It's up to the board to let him get on with it in the summer and shape the direction of the club with player recruitment and appointing a manager.

I love him. Every press conference is compelling, and he talks football with an honesty and clarity not many do.

The opinion RR is not good enough is getting on my nerves. The man is brilliant imo. Trust him and we will move on in the right direction.

We won’t go down that road though. I expect us to go for Poch.

Exactly. This sums a lot of things up. Great post.

It's quite simple, really. He has steadied the ship after Ole left. It's apparent that our defense is prone to errors. And yet he's made us harder to beat.

United fans need to accept the fact that we're no longer a top team. We've had good managers since Fergie retired, but the management and decision makers have been horrible.

Ralf has done well with what he's got. There is a lot of work to be done for whomever is our next manager.

Sensible post- I pretty much agree entirely

It's obvious he's a team builder which is what we need. If he's a consultant, they'll listen to him when they want. If he's the coach he'll have veto or majority power. He knows the players best this season and how they are day to day. A new coach will be learning. Surely I don't know why hire a new coach I'd rather have Ralf unless he doesn't want it.

If we have any sense, any sense at all, we need to bring him in permanently for some kind of role related to the football side of the club. As others have said, he doesn't mince words and I don't think he's afraid to get his hands dirty which is exactly the kind of person we need, and it just so happens he's an extremely experienced DOF. The short amount of time he's been here and i'd run through brick walls for this guy as opposed to the majority of players and staff that have been here for years since Fergie left. He seems to genuinely want to help the club, and I hope the board doesn't overlook that.

Applause!!

I think he’s been great. Defence remains porous (individual mistakes more than anything else) but we look so much more organised in attack.

I truly hope he will name names and get the new manager off to a solid start with a complete dossier. More than anything, I’m hoping his reported championing of Ten Hag is true.

Pretty much this, but sober.

Stand by your Rang(nick)
He'll squeeze the pus and shit out
It's how we're gonna get out
From mediocrity

Stand by your Rang(nick)
And show the world we love him
He's doing God's work, he's our man
Stand by your Rang(nick)

I really like him. I love listening to him, he speaks with such calm precision and clarity.

He's been stuck with the players he inherited. I wonder what he really thinks of some of them. I'd be absolutely intruiged to see what he would do if he was still in charge over the summer, which players he'd move on or sign upgrades for.

People don't know how good he is, particularly long-term. Unless United can sign Ten Hag or Tuchel, you should keep him as a manager. Imo there are not many managers out there of his calibre. But the club also would need to back him to shape the squad accordingly. Rangnick is good at building philosophies, ie getting the right players and the right manager.

I think the club plays definitely better than under Ole, but overall it's still the same players, let's keep that in mind.

Stand by him?

His role is very clearly defined. He is a half decent coach who is getting half decent performances, he is a brilliant football executive who's real work begins in the summer. No matter how middling the results have been I have absolutely no doubt about him in the role he actually excels at. You can clearly see why he has so much success at it, he speaks with so much common sense about the game. I am totally behind him being a "consultant" with a significant amount of influence in rebuilding things starting in the summer.

If he uses his sway to stay on as manager and we continue to be inconsistent then I will change my view of him but if he takes the role originally agreed then I am still absolutely delighted to have him.

.
He is way more than a half-decent coach. He was succesfull everywhere he was coaching, but he took on a broken squad mid-season. I actually think his second season would be highly successful, if they also give him some opportunities to change the squad a bit
