Thomas Müller

to be honest to all the naysayers. How many thought we would have Di Maria, Falcao, Schweinsteiger all feature for this club in the last 12 months?

We are super super rich. If we Want Muller (which I would love) and we go massive for him (especially as he doesnt see eye to eye with Pep) then we could easily land him,.

Big difference because they all wanted to leave/club wanted to sell. Here neither is the case. Next year could be different, but this season it is more or less impossible.

We're not getting Thomas Muller, painfully obvious. Would be an excellent signing but it just isn't happening. Even if he wanted to go, Bayern wouldn't sell to us especially after we got Schweinsteiger from them. They don't need the money, they'll never want to look like they got bullied out to sign a player from them, and the fans would be furious at them. It just isn't happening.

2 reasons it COULD be

1 - the Memphis at No.10 experiment has ended so in Van Gaals mind a No.10 is now priority over a winger (pedro)
2 - Maybe Muller is actually gettable through indicators of his agent etc.

I hope you are right mate, but it sounds very far fetched that LVG and the club would change their transfer priorities over night and after one good game by Depay on the left wing.

There is no way we can sign Muller... is there? This would be a huge transfer and surely too damaging for Bayern to allow to happen. It would need to be an enormous offer with the player also requesting a move.

100 million pounds

There's just no way Bayern will sell Muller unless behind the scenes they fancy their chances of getting someone like Pogba for 100 million quid. I would bet my house that they won't sell Muler but for 100 million then you never know...still highly unlikely even for 100 million

I'm usually drawn into every muppet transfer story but there's 0 chance of this I think, we'd have more chance signing Aguero.

Bayern doesn't want to sell, but Guardiola doesn't seem to rate Muller as high as LvG did when he was at Bayern.

Maybe he's had enough of Pep's bs.

Pep always talks about players this way, where they can imrpove etc.
The talk of Pep not liking Müller is the bullshit here.
He's starting all the time, in all competitions. How much must Pep hate him to do that.

Falcao was done, nobody really wanted him anymore and he had Mendes as an Agent, who again screwed you over. Di Maria was for sale (just like Robben was in 2009), so, no surprise here. Bastian is a 31 year old club legend who is likely done at the highest level too, at least he's injured too often to be a regular first teamer and he got this move as a gift from the board for all his years at the club most likely, just like Lizarazu did in 2005.

You are super rich, yes. We are super rich, too. Actually, might even richer. We've got a superior squad and equal money, we are not Everton you know.

Point 2: Don't think so. English media bullshit.

He's only 25!?

Yeah, he's younger than you'd think. Another reason Bayern won't sell him; he's just hitting his prime years and will have plenty left to produce for them. They'd be daft to sell him now unless they get a ridiculous offer.

Bayerns rich but they're not Manchester United rich when all our endorsements and tv deal kicks in this / next year.
There's no way were making a bid without consulting Muller first.
Even if we have made a bid is another question, but if you believe that we have then he had to have said he's interested. Kind of like Pedro. We agreed personal terms but we were dicked about with the fee and keeping him till after the freaking super cups. Enough was probably enough

I'm not sure he's that much of a game changer tbh, if we were talking about a Bale or Ronaldo then yeah but I don't see Muller in the same bracket. Hell of a good goal scorer though
You can not be serious, Muller is a superior player to Bale in almost every restpect

Hope we didn't drop out of the Pedro deal for Muller. We need a winger & a striker.

Although Muller is very versatile and plays a number of positions, i would like to see him play in the center if we buy him. That could be a big enticement for him that he will be the main striker if he came here.

I don't even believe a bid was made. No reason for him to join you and he's never shown interest in leaving anywhere else either. It's just a no-story and some kind of english media "behold the financial might of the premier league!"-bullshit most likely.

The latest on Sky Sports which is from Bild is that it would be very difficult for a move to happen.

To me that means there's a chance and if we bid absolute crazy money then he'd be ours.

That's not to say I think it will happen because I really don't.

Would be one of the biggest surprises in football transfer history for me tbh. Just cant see it especially after the president said no chance.

other than pace - and experience in the PL
I would prefer Muller myself (I don't think either is available for what that's worth) but if hypothetically both were available I could understand (though disagree with) the logic in going for Bale

Bild didn't report that. Mid last week, they reported a bid was made and was declined instantly, now SportBild recycled this for their monday issue. And so it's in the media again, and SkySport just lies because you are not able to read german papers.

I'm pretty sure it's coming out of Germany this time. Not that it makes it any more reliable of course, Sportbild is completely useless. But you can't blame the English media in this case ;).

Muller is the Scholes/Giggs equivalent to Bayern. I would argue that he is even bigger than that to them because he is also a German icon. He is the media/merchandising king, the most beloved player on the team and a fantastic talent.

Anyone who thinks we can get him needs to go outside a bit more. There is no chance.

This is coming out of Germany buddy.

All good points apart from

Last Deloitte report, from January 2015, shows we are still in fron in terms of revenue. Since you haven't been in the Champions League last season and we made crazy money there, it's unlikely this has changed. And we still have the highest money reserve of all football clubs in the world: around 150 million euros, just there for the case...you know, somethings becomes available.

Edit: Shit, you are slightly in front, just saw Bayern didn't change position, still number 3, but we got overtaken by you and overtook Barcelona to stay third :D Everybody's prone to errors :)

Bild qouted some english newspapers last week, their sport issue used it for their monday issue to sell it, now it's back in England. Congratulations. And nobody in Germany ever reported "it's difficult to pull off", the little that's been said about it (the story isn't really existent in German media, which shows how legit it is) is: Bayern won't sell, players doesn't want to leave.

£100million + Evans + Rooney + half of Moyes' iPads and a bootlegged copy of FM 2015.

Make it happen Woody.

You're lashing out here buddy, this bid originates from Germany.
Nobody is claiming any superiority over Germany or Bayern so calm down

What's got Germany got to do with it? Never said anything about the country. And you can't deny some here seem to think ManUnited will just get everybody if it's not from Real or Barcelona.

And still, the original report from Bild from last week qouted some english newspaper. And that's what this here: http://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga...-85-mio-euro-fuer-mueller-42230340.sport.html
is quoting.

Don't waste time here lads. There's no chance in hell we're getting Muller from Bayern. We'd have to offer £100+million to pry him away.

If we buy Muller then I will shave all of my hair off and post a photo. That's how unlikely I think it is.

With Pedro getting lost and accidently ending up in London it's time to turn the corner and go all out for muller
