Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

I'm pretty sure it'll be on at the usual time. Yeah, looking on the Sky website it seems to be on at 2am.

It's prerecorded, the tickets say to go to the arena at 4pm. They'll probably shoot superstars first though. I would have gone if I wasn't a skint student.

I think they're back here in November, if the recording is in the North West again I might go then.

Oh dear. Oh deary deary me. Alright, let me walk you through it.

The people in the 02 arena will be watching RAW at around 7 or 8pm. That's them. The people actually in the arena. That will not be broadcast live.

We will be watching a recorded version of what they saw at 2am. This has happened for years now, every time WWE has done a RAW taping in the UK. This is because Sky Sports has WWE RAW to be on every week at 2am in their schedule.

I went to the WWE RAW taping in Birmingham a few years back, which finished around 10pm. I was home in time to watch the very same episode of RAW that I'd just seen taped on TV.

So...you were saying?

Was chatting to Big Show backstage in Belfast on Friday night. He's a monster.

Wanted to go but I dont go anymore unless I get floor seating or a good view. Kinda spoilt like that.

The one thing I hate is that they edit the crowds sooo much. I remember the last one I went to had Hoff as guest host. They made the crowd sound so shit with their post production editing. Its so annoying.

Well he is seven feet tall, 500 lbs. Well....maybe not but I still expect he is a monster in real life. Kind of hard to gauge the size of some of these guys without seeing them in the flesh.

When I went last time, the crowd was actually quite rowdy. Responded really well to the Miz's crowd-bashing to say the least. Crowd went absolutely nuts when Kevin Nash came through the curtain. I wonder how they'll react to Lesnar.

* Dean Ambrose beat Alex Riley. Ambrose got the win after pulling his knee pad down and hitting a running knee to Riley's head.

RAW, Airing Tonight:

* Lilian Garcia opened with God Save the Queen.

* Mark Henry comes out to open the show. The No DQ, No Count Out WWE Title Match with Henry and CM Punk is up first. They have a good solid match and brawl outside the ring a lot. Punk uses a chair and other stuff. Punk ends up getting the win to retain the WWE Title after hitting an elbow drop from the top with a steel chair.

* Chris Jericho promo is up next. Jericho vs. Punk for the WWE Title in a Chicago Street Fight is announced for Extreme Rules. Jericho taunts Punk and shows footage from earlier today of Punk entering a local bar/pub. Jericho wonders if Punk is drunk. Punk tell him to come find out and then says he was having fish and chips with his friends. Jericho says it's no longer about being the best - it's about beating Punk's ass.

* Josh Mathews is backstage with Lord Tensai. Tensai talks in Japanese and says something about knowing what to fear and fearing the unknown.

* WWE flashes a graphic touting WrestleMania 28's 1.3 million pay-per-view buys.

* Brock Lesnar promo on the big screen. Lesnar says he isn't a WWE Superstar, he's an ass kicker. Lesnar says he doesn't care about anyone and isn't here for a feel good moment. WWE needs someone to legitimize it and he's the real deal to do it. Lesnar calls John Cena fake and says everyone is tired of his bull****. They keep bleeping him out. He says Cena is pissing and ****ting himself. Lesnar says beating Cena up in the Extreme Rules match at Extreme Rules will make him happy.

* Kane defeated Zack Ryder after KO'ing him with a chokeslam. Kane talked about Randy Orton and what happened on SmackDown with Cowboy Bob Orton. They played Kane's old Man on Fire music as he left.

* Backstage segment with AJ Lee and Kofi Kingston when Daniel Bryan walks up. Lots of YES chants from the crowd. He's re-named the LaBell Lock the Yes Lock.

* John Cena comes to the ring. He talks about how WrestleMania 28 could have been the end of his era and about how John Laurinaitis wants to replace him. Cena talks about Lesnar and Extreme Rules. Cena says Lesnar is right - he is afraid but he will still fight. Out comes Laurinaitis. He says it's the beginning of the People Power Era. Laurinaitis announces an Extreme Rules match for Cena tonight but won't name the opponent. He also announces a contract singing for next week's 3 hour RAW with Cena and Lesnar.

* Backstage comedy segment with Hornswoggle and R-Truth, dressed as Sherlock Holmes.

* Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan is up next. Huge YES chants for Bryan. Bryan wins after a good back and forth match with the Yes Lock, formerly the LaBell Lock. The crowd goes nuts for Bryan. Bryan re-applied the hold after the match until Sheamus came out. Bryan dodged a Brogue Kick and left as the crowd was still chanting.

* Brodus Clay beat Dolph Ziggler by DQ when Jack Swagger interfered. Vickie Guerrero got into it at ringside with one of Clay's dancers. Clay and his dancers dance in the ring to end it.

* A video for the late Chief Jay Strongbow airs.

* Big Show and The Great Khali vs. Epico and Primo is up next. Abraham Washington watches the match from up on the ramp. Show and Khali get the win after a double choke slam.

* John Cena comes out for his Extreme Rules match against a mystery man. That mystery man is none other than Lord Tensai. Laurinaitis comes out and watches Tensai dominate Cena. Cena finally makes a comeback but Sakamoto attacks him. David Otunga also got involved at one point. Tensai spit the green mist into Cena's face to get the surprising win and end RAW.

I haven't seen Big Show up close, but I have shook hands with Great Khali, who you could compare to Show in this show. I'm a pretty big fella, (6'3" and big,) but he's just simply massive. If he's not legitimately seven feet tall, he's not far off. His fingers are like big German sausages, wider than two, maybe three of mine.

I think he was legitimately listed as 7'1 during his bodybuilding days, really a freakish sized guy. I'd guess Show is a shade under 7 foot but still a massive guy. Looked even more intimidating in his WCW/ early WWF days when he was actually in pretty good shape.

Again my respect for Cena grows. Lesnar was always crap on the mic and the way Cenas put him over during his segment is fantastic.

Oh yeah Khali is huge, he's got banana hands.

The Condemned on 5USA right now. Stone Cold!

It's actually quite a good film. Good fun, and with Vinnie Jones in a villain role. Can't go wrong with that for a bit of simple entertainment.

Nathan Jones, formally of the WWF, too. A genuine 6ft 11 inches tall.

Couldn't wrestle to save his life.

I thought Lesnar's tape interview segment was brilliant. Really put over who he is, what he's done, his reasons for being here and what he's going to do fantastically.

It just made him seem like some giant bad-ass motherlover.

Was the best promo of the night... with Daniel "Just because I don't want her, doesn't mean that it's open season" Bryan promo a close second.

Quite similar to Kurrgan actually, although I never got to see him wrestle more than a few times. Giant of a man who wasn't great in the ring, but his size works well for films. You might know him as the huge French guy that Robert Downey Jr fought in Sherlock Holmes.

He was one of The Oddities, right?

He was indeed. With theme music by ICP and voted Worst Tag Team of 1998 by the Wrestling Observer.

The team also included Giant Silva (sadly not an enormous version of David), Golga (aka Earthquake), Luna Vachon, and the Insane Clown Posse.

I'm actually quite glad I only started properly watching WWF after they finished.

For those of you who follow basketball, here's a picture of Big Show with Dirk Nowitzki

I agree the Lesnar taped interview was good but the way Cena put him over even though Brock cocked up the week prior and cut him shows me the lads proffesionalism which is fantastic.

Thing is no one really doubted that, it's the writing which people have a problem with, and as the babyface that creative write him he's bound to get the stick. After all, what message would booing HHH or Vince get across, when they are written heels anyway? It would go against it's own purpose.

It would be awesome if they got Lesnar to do a number on Cena at extreme rules only for Super Cena to fight back and look like he will beat the former UFC champion. All of a sudden a run in from Heyman who looks to hit Cena with a chair. Cena sees him coming and takes the chair off him lifting him up and delivering an AA. Lesnar has time to recover and F5s Cena onto said chair.

Not only would this build a huge amount of heat for Heyman and Lesnar, it would also mean a mouthpiece for Lesnar (even though his promo skills are getting better). It would also mean than Cena could lose but still look relatively strong.
