Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

As much as I hate Ziggler, his promo was right.

Lots of wrestlers with flashy, flamboyant entrances and feck all character to go with it.
It's funny, because of all wrestlers who are all show and no depth, he's top of the pile with his rubbish overselling and shouting equals passion... Now he's being a ranty shit on top of it all.

He is Jurgen Klopp.

That Ziggler angle is probably the most interesting thing on Smackdown now, it will go nowhere though.

I had a feeling someone would say this as, admittedly, I have gone on a bit recently since coming back to the product. I do talk about other stuff (at the top of the page!) but, if it's killing the thread, I'll keep schtum. FWIW, I don't hate either of them. If I say so-and-so is a bad wrestler/actor/singer/footballer/etc it doesn't mean I hate them - they're just not my cup of tea.

There is no agenda and I accept that it is hypocritical of me thinking about it. I take that bit back. I guess, along with the pandering, what I don't like is how it always comes down to Cena's opponent breaking kayfabe, saying he's buried this and that guy, and how he's been handed everything, to Cena's rebuttal being all about how hard he's worked, how he's earned everything, how they're making excuses for themselves, etc, and the guys just have to stand there and take it everytime. This is on both Cena and whoever is opponent is - plus the writers/whoever. They could try something new.

After this I won't go on about them anymore but, in Cena's case, even though I think he's been a big problem with the product for many years and I've never been a fan, he is my brothers favourite so I have no problem with him himself. My brother has Downs Syndrome and Cena's never give up stuff really inspires him (and a lot of others, too) so that's lovely.
Mate it's an internet forum. Say whatever the feck you want.

I'm loving watching KO lose his shit. Cracks me up.

The thing is, live event attendances and viewing figures are up during Jinder's run, not down.

The state of viewing and live event attendance is not because Jinder, in-fact, the small spike increase proves that he is generating some interest where it wasn't prior.

Regardless of what one thinks about him from a technical standpoint.

Can understand New Year's Day. But who is gonna go to wrestling events on Xmas day?

Also. Anybody watching the MYC?

Watched the first round, some nice stuff in there. Second round is supposed to be much better though. Downside is JR and Lita on commentary who are both unsurprisingly horrendous. I love Lita, she's still my boyhood crush, but god I never want to hear her talk.

She was awful years ago on Heat (I think it was, might have been Velocity). Haven't they learned their lesson?

Wait...Booker T and Percy Watson are still allowed to commentate...never mind.

Fantastic tbh.

Also. Anybody watching the MYC?

Haven't brought myself to watch it yet, been following the reviews to see if theres been anything worth keeping an eye for but will probably pay more attention to the later rounds. I'm a week behind on NxT as well.

Corey Graves on Smackdown is fantastic, no-one can call Kinshasa like he can. Plus he is better than just about any other option they have.

Roman/Cena is wasted on No Mercy, should be headlining WrestleMania without a doubt (or at the very least Summerslam). Would have been fairly easy to keep them on the same brand without interacting until Royal Rumble. (not saying I want to see Cena/Reigns at Mania but that's beside the point.)

Also idiotic for Roman to be pinned at Summerslam. Joe could have just as easily taken the pin and it would have made no difference to him. Instead Reigns loses and then is in a main event program straight away.

Ziggler and Enzo's promos this week were such utter garbage. SD has gotten so weak lately, they definitely need to take that belt off Jinder.

Who would have thought that out of Enzo, Cass and Carmella, Carmella would be the one to have the most impact on main roster career?

Why even waste time with Ziggler on the show? He's shit and he blatantly couldn't give a shit and therefore the crowd don't give a shite. Use the time on someone else, anyone but Ziggler.

Also, Ellsworth. He must be having the time of his life in WWE!

Carmella and Ellsworth are great, that cash in needs to happen soon.

Usos vs. New Day Street Fight should be excellent (again) next week if they get time.

Decent Smackdown, thought everything with Owens and Shane was really well done, and they had a good main event thrown in there too (best Nakamura match he's had since coming to SmackDown I think)

-

Crazy how Orton got the best match out of Nakamura as I normally can't stand watching Orton plod around the ring with the dynamism of Gareth Barry.

Loving this petulant version of KO. He's smackdown saving grace at the moment.

Nakamura must surely be winning the belt, he's been put over by Cena and Orton clean, in kayfabe terms he's probably only behind Owens and AJ.

All caught up on the Mae Young classic. While there is some really good things in there, the whole thing does feel like a rushed, discount version of the CWC rather than anything on par with it. Pretty much all of that is due to JR and Lita who take away so much from the matches. I don't care if some think Mauro is over excitable and his 'mama mia' is cringey, and least he adds some emotion to the matches.

I think JR's actually worse than Lita, he's completely lost what made him such a legendary commentator. I hope they keep Piper Niven, Dakota Kai and Bianca Belair around, they all put on some cracking matches and probably deserved to get further in the tournament.

Cena vs Bruan on Raw.

They are burning through Cena dream matches / money matches eh?
Nakamura on SD
Braun tonight
Roman at No Mercy.

I noticed the same thing. I thought they would reserve these matches for something like Mania or Summerslam

JJ two matches this week and last week were fantastic. Even in a losing effort, he looked fantastic. Hope its now followed up by him getting something big / important.

Also cena bringing up te drugtest failure of Roman

Guessing cos hes turning 40, doing ventures outside the company, and getting married, they probably want to make the most out of him whilst hes there.
