Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

During Samoa Joe's entrance they mentioned him fighting Brock at Great Balls of Fire.

During Roman's entrance they said he was the only one with experience of facing Brock in the ring.

Didn't watch the pre-show but I don't see how they're going to build Jason Jordan up by having him lose in front of a half empty arena.

Seems a bit odd to take the title immediately off Tozawa. Also, cruiserweights on the pre-show is going to make people jump straight on 205 live.

Why wasn't New Day/Usos on the main card? And why did they drop the titles so soon?

Cena looking half-arsed and still beating cash-in-failure-Corbin with relative ease was an odd choice for someone they were apparently building up to be a top guy.

Natalya is an incredibly underwhelming champion and I have no idea why they didn't at least tease a Carmella cash-in by having her appear at the top of the ramp at the end.

Cass/Show was incredibly boring and Enzo needs a new angle because repeatedly getting sparked by the same guy isn't doing either of them any favours.

Orton squashing Rusev was nonsensical.

Enjoyed Banks/Bliss and think it was about time they took the title off Bliss. Hopefully they can build a Bliss/Jax feud off the back of it as Jax fights for her spot as No. 1 contender with Bliss looking to do the same. Potential for Banks/Bayley too.

Thought Balor/Wyatt was good, but Wyatt didn't really look much of a threat. Makes Demon Balor look incredibly strong so maybe he'll be the guy to take out Brock, but not sure where they can go with Wyatt after yet another PPV loss in a rivalry he started.

Shield/Shesaro was very entertaining. Cesaro ripping up the beach ball was good. No idea why the crowd were busy watching that. I'd have understood during Show/Cass.

Styles/Owens was very good. Looks like they're angling for an Owens/OMac feud.

I don't think I'll be watching another Jinder Mahal match. Even if it's when he finally drops the title. Oh look the Singh Brothers have caused a distraction and allowed Mahal to pick up a cheap win. How original and innovative.

For all the hate that Reigns gets for apparently being a superman back from the dead in matches, Lesnar has spent almost his entire time since returning doing just that. Last month Joe had him down to both knees, with Lesnar having taken a battering, then suddenly he pops up and picks up the win. This time he was stretchered out of the arena, took further finishers and signature moves after returning to the ring, then suddenly pops up and picks up the win. May as well give him the Singh Brothers too because it's just as boring to watch.

Moment of the night was Cesaro bursting the beach ball.

Fatal 4 way was excellent but I hoped one of the others won it instead.

Nakamura v Mahal was shite

Has Nakamura actually done anything slightly interesting yet, since he was so massively hyped?

I guess his violin guy was cool.

The only singles match ive enjoyed since hes been called up has been against Cena, and even that was only 10 minutes with a commercial on a SD Live.
Would have been nice seeing them have a first time match go at least 20 minutes given how great both can be.

TBH, im trying to think of which NXT call up (except for Shield members) have had justice done to them.
Maybe Owens? Alexa? Finn kinda.

For me, they ruined a lot of good acts like Sami, Bayley, Enzo/cass. Its a shame.

Alexa and Carmella have actually gotten better on the main roster which is surprising seeing as I thought they were called up too early. And while Owen's has suffered a few missteps, most of them this year, he's had a great run so far. Charlotte too, ill judged face run aside, has been used pretty well.

Did anything significant happen on the Raw after summerslam last year? Obviously Balor relinquished the title, but that was forced.

I'm just thinking that with them pushing summerslam as a massive deal and 2nd only to wrestle mania, will they try and make #RawAfterSummerslam a thing, like #RawAfterMania?

Basically, is anything good happening tonight? Any returns, callups?

Wishful thinking?

Would be cool if they used the whole Angle/Bryan at Takeover as a way to make one or two call ups. but then saying that, they have so much talent already they arent using (and those were NXT callups too).

Yeah Neville is a good shout but again thats only cos of 205 coming.

Thats a small amount considering how many have been called up. Carmella and Alexa are probably the most improved though. I was so glad they turned Carmella heel.

What was the explanation?

Think it was something like
they wanted to come out first so that they could hold the ring and show their dominance as the challengers had to come to them.

(Sounded better than ive typed)

Yep, only seen Goldberg nail it even then he hit a jackhammer after
Rhyno says hello.
A 6.5/7 show for me. The tag match, balor entrance, women's matches and the main event made it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, lesnar is just a shit Scott Steiner by this point, endless Germans and no charisma.
Also did anyone else notice Bayley staring down sasha from behind? Heel turn?

Looks like Cass will be out for a long time, a hell of a work for someone with such a lack of charisma if it's not legit.

Considering how he was swearing, and how nasty it looked on the replay when he went over the top rope, im guessing it should be rest of year.
