Ending Neville's reign was a bit silly, thought that still had momentum.

nah. Got lots of catching up to do but knew who was in the final. lol

Ah right. Kind of hard to avoid the results of matches in the wrestling thread unfortunately as @Blind post above shows. (I don't have an issue with that btw just using as another example).

Yeah seems a weird one timing wise. Unless of course it wasn't going to get any significant time at Summerslam or even on the pre-show.

Nah its cool, events already happened so I kinda was expecting more discussion.

True, though I thought Tozawa would be the guy to beat Neville (called it back in March), I had hoped it would have been at Summerslam I didn't see the point of doing at raw when they are going again at Summerslam. Guess they think Neville has done enough in the Cruiserweight division and fighting higher up the card.

Maybe they already have so many planned title changes at Summerslam, they didn't want every match to be one?

Who the feck thought doing THAT with Corbin was a good idea?

If you're having doubts about him being the champion then just keep the briefcase on him and come up with a good way to actually get it off of him. Have somebody goad him into putting it on the line, I don't know? Just don't do that.

Absolutely killed him that has.

Wow, I saw something about Cena messing up Corbin's cash-in on Instagram, but I thought they meant he'd stopped it from happening. That's ridiculous.

I mean, if they now have Corbin go on a tear through the upper card and win it the traditional way, that'd be something, but it's going to take something drastic like that for him to recover from this. (Can't say I was a big fan of his anyway, really, so I'm not that fussed).

Why Road Dogg why
Corbin got the biggest reaction in his life, then loses by a roll up. Even if (don't think he will) beats Cena clean at Summerslam won't help the damage thats already done

 I just read what they did, the fecking morons. So the MITB briefcase got completely wasted, removed the tension of possibly having him cash in this Sunday for a match that, let's be honest isn't going to be very good, and made Corbin look like an absolute idiot.

Is there anything worth watching on Summerslam besides the Raw fourway? Takeover Brooklyn will inevitably be great though.

Both tag team matches look good, AJ V Owens is always worth watching and the Demon Kings entrance

Thats 2 dumb decisions they've made this week.

1) Corbin - Just wow.
2) Announcing Demon Balor for Summerslam.... Just have the aftermath of their RAW match be people saying that Bray is in Finn's head and he won't be able to cope. Continue this all the way to Summerslam and then boom... Demon comes out. Would've got a huge pop.

fecking ballbags.

TBH, they announced Demon for Summerslam(?) when he won the title and it still went over well. In fact he came on Raw as it in the build up

Also, given its cena vs corbin at Summerslam, wouldnt it logically make sense that Cena would want Corbin as champion? :nervous:

Logic? In the WWE?

I actually like the ending of Smackdown... I don't rate Corbin at all, and it means there is no cash in at Summerslam, which makes the title match all the more interesting.

I can't stand Corbin and predicted that his cash in would fail when he won. Still not sure why he won in all honesty.

The New Day V Usos on the pre show WTF, I really like the Usos since they turned heel, never liked them when they were face though

Strange one, especially when there's matches like Naomi vs Natayla and Big Show vs Big Cass on the main show.

I laughed my ass off at Corbyn losing the cash in, best thing Jinder has done and ever will do in my eyes :lol:

No great loss.

Is this some sort of punishment for Corbin?

Apparently he was having an argument with an US army veteran on twitter without realizing he was an army veteran who had met Vince and posted a picture with him in response to Corbyns put down. Reportedly Vince wasn't a happy bunny when he heard of it.

At a time of serious racial oppression in America being so prominent, Im quite shocked they've continued with winding up an audience with foreigners playing heels.

Actually what am I saying, it's Vince Mcmahon ffs.

I like Naomi and im happy Nattie is getting a serious one on one shot (though expecting a Carmella cash in). But yeah, glad its on the main show.
New Day vs Usos should be on the main show too though. All title matches should be imo.

I wanna see where WWE goes with Corbin now. Would be great if he destroyed Cena and went on a Braun type destruction. Dont expect it to happen, but would be one way to do make this loss of the briefcase mean little longterm.
Either that, or he ends up like Sandow lol.

Corbyn on the screen is a good opportunity for me to take a leak or change the channel. Nothing about him interests me whatsoever and I hope his push recedes more than his hairline.

Corbin destroying Cena does little to nothing for him. A lot of that crowd will know Cena is off to film a movie so any beatdown will be met with apathy.

In the Strowman Lesnar fight the blonde security guard clearly didn't fancy any of it and jumped over the rope

That was just terrible, in fact the whole lot of the security guards were awful, probably the worst bunch of extras they have had in a very long time. Watch for Lesnar struggling to get a guy over the ropes on the side be the timekeeper as well. Wouldn't be hopeful of them getting called up/signed up anytime soon.

Whats everyone looking forward to more? Takeover or Summerslam?

Summerslam. The main event really should be brilliant.

And even if Lesnar doesn't want to put in a shift, again, at least there's 3 other big hard-hitting guys in there to carry his ass.

Takeover for the event overall as it never lets you down.
Summerslam for the main event mostly but also to see if they can follow (expecting the wrestlers will but the booking will hamper them... again)

Should be ok, he likes working with Joe apparently and Im expecting the usual multi-man format where 2 people are down at a time and only all involved at the start and finish so won't be too taxing for him probably.

Same here, Takeover should be the much better event and the card is a lot more appealing. Looking forward more to Sanity vs Authors of Pain and Asuka/Ember than Orton vs Rusev and Big Show vs Cass. Have a funny feeling I will be skipping through a lot of Summerslam somehow.

I don't watch NXT every week so the Takeovers are always a lot fresher than the main PPV for me, bit disappointed there's no UK title match but I'm sure it will be another lesson for the people at Raw and Smackdown in how to book feuds and matches that actually make sense.
