Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Was the only thing that made sense. A Cena win made no sense. What would The Rock be at Summerslam for, it would be a completely pointless excersise. For Cena to win today would forever cement the Superman theory. Cena will win at Summerslam and pass the torch, whilst showing that he is the best, but he's not inhuman and he can be beaten. Sense.

I'm exhausted after that... That near-fall after the Big AA was unbelievable.

And don't worry guys, Cena will win the war... He'll win at Summerslam, and he'll win the match they have after that as well.

Wonder how it'll pan out between them 2 after this.

When the match was announced did they even lay a finger on each other?

Great WM I thought. Divas match was the only shit one.

I'm not counting Bryan, because I'm genuinely happy. Everyone bums him, I know he's talented but his character is supposed to piss you off, and it pisses me off, so I'm happy to see him get pwned.

Who gives a shit, this was Mania.

It's like citeh beating us in a CL final than us winning the next two league games. Who gives a shit?

He beat Hogan, he beat Austin, why'd he have to beat Cena.

Even Porto won it though.

It would be stupid for the best to just win every time. No point anyone else turning up.

He had to beat Cena because the world is sick of Cena beating everyone. What's the point in The Rock coming back, to save the world from Superman Cena beating everyone, if he's just going to win again. Look at it sensibly.

I didn't think The Rock deserved to win considering the lack of wrestling throughout the year.

I'm interested to see how the rest of this year works out for him . RAW should be good tomorrow.

To be fair didn't he lose to Austin twice at Mania, for the belt as well. The one win he had over him was like a consolation.

Good show, I thought. Flew by.

Disappointed but not surprised Cena didn't turn heel.

Taker and HHH was just brilliant.

Punk and Jericho was good, and the main event was good fun.

Crowd was bloody awful though.

The Spanish announce table stayed intact. Massive let down!

Because, if Cena won... why should anyone remotely be interested in a rematch between the two? If part-time Rock can't beat full-time Cena at Wrestlemania, in his hometown... why should anyone remotely believe he can beat him at Summerslam??

Cena can use the hometown argument, use the underestimated Rock, Rock was on a first match high excuses to justify why he would win a rematch... and he's got 4 months of TV time to do it.

From a business and logic standpoint, this move makes the most sense. If there was no rematch planned, then yes, Cena should have won.

its kinda hard to really understand bits in here. Don't follow WWE anymore but keep an eye on it.

So theres already a rematch set up for Summerslam? :wenger:

generic Cena bashing rubbish....move along.

I suppose this is true. But Summerslam just wont seem like an equaliser, they'll have to face at WM 29.

The strong rumour (and I think its more then just rumour at this point) is that Rock has signed on for Summerslam. So a rematch would certainly be a good idea, especially as the match we just saw was very good.

Maybe not an equaliser in the grand sense... but it will give Cena a win over the Rock, which is a big thing. The Rock will eventually put over Cena, and he will put him over well, all whilst making the WWE a lot of money... that is what The Rock does.

Anyway, Good 'Mania overall...mainly because 2/3's of the show was taking up by the 3 main events, which all really delivered. The first hour was pretty forgettable, and wouldn't be out of place on an episode of Raw, nevermind the biggest PPV of the year... but the quality of those 3 big matches does make up for it I feel.

Still pissed about them burying Bryan.

But yeah the 3 main events were great, Taker/HHH was a great spot-fest/soap-opera kind of match. A typical Attitude Era match.

The other two were technically sound, thought Cena did really well there adjusting to a role which others usually play for him.

Watched it a pub with a great atmosphere, The Sheamus Bryan match was just a massive feck you to everyone, but it still got a 'holy shit' reaction. I enjoyed all the 'yes' signs at the front. Made my day that.

Taker HHH had a fecking epic match. Just fecking epic.

Everything else was a bit meh.

Rock Cena left us all speechless.

Anthing else for the other stuff category? Match of the night perhaps? I'll say Punk Y2J
7/14

How many finishers were there in the taker match?

But still, the end of an era match. Holy shit, wow.

Match of the night by quite a distance. I was thoroughly captivated throughout. The storytelling was phenomenal, not once did I question myself for suspending my disbelief. Just, wow. By the time it ended I was just worn out. The rest of the wrestlemania was like a post coital cigarette.

Fell asleep during the Diva match, bugger....

Punk/Jericho solid fight.....Taker/HHH was rinse and repeat pretty much, tells a solid story but it's not a very good wrestling match, same shit with Rock/Cena really....kicking out out of soo many finishers is ridiculous, it's gonna be like Street Fighter soon where they'll Super combos and then after they all kick out of them endlessly, hyper combos.

That's all I watched. Wish one of HHH/Jericho won though, obvious Mania wins are boring too.

Look at Shawn's Reaction

Here are my educated guesses. I don’t watch it at all and haven’t for years

Randy Orton vs. Kane - Orton
Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny - Teddy

First PPV I have watched in about 10 years and I really enjoyed it. Even the D Bryan match was pretty awesome in my eyes. Really added a sense of reality that anything can happen if you are not on the ball.

The match I was most excited about was Cm Punk vs Jericho which was a pretty decent match.

Kane-Orton was also not bad, the finish was pretty good.

Was glad to see Show win a match also

I expected a little more from the tag match and the Divas match was a minor annoyance.

Rock vs Cena was pretty good towards the end but there seemed to be a lot of rest holds. I suppose it is as expected due to Rocks ring rust. The ending worked pretty well, but Cenas facial expressions throughout annoyed me. I suppose I was tired by the time the match was on so may need a rewatch.

Undertaker vs HHH was the star of the show. Very little wrestling but an absolute masterclass in storytelling. I think the fact that everyone knows HHH has a big ego really made it feel like he may actually break the streak. Also the Michael's factor worked really well. When the ref ran to the ring and opened the cell door I was sure Lesnar would interfere
