I really liked the biker gimmick actually. Completely inconsistent with everything else, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The whole invasion angle was messed up so the DDP thing doesn't bother me too much in context. Maybe as an American I can enjoy the "American Badass" persona a bit more, though of course that isn't the only factor.

I found it just a little bit too UnUndertaker. I mean, he still had the name but the gimmick just didn't really fit it. Nothing really beats Ministry Undertaker, that was so sinister and really well done, but to me the biker gimmick just didn't fit, despite it maybe closely portraying Mark Calloways real persona. It wasn't terrible but just not right.

I enjoyed the American Badass gimmick. It was something different and unexpected and a welcome change from the Undertaker which used to scare the living shite out of me.

Scary Undertaker was brilliant as a kid. Also Kane was very menacing as well as Mankind in his early days in WWF.

Oh I'm under no illusions that it ever fit, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I wouldn't even say it was a welcome change since I wasn't exactly bored with the other stuff. It's just something different that I had fun watching in its own, almost completely separate right. Somewhat like Bradshaw vs JBL.

I couldn't stand JBL which I suppose was kind of the point with him being a heel. Bradshaw in the APA was awesome though.

The original Kane vs Undertaker feud and match at Wrestemania is probably my favourite from when I was a kid.

Kane genuinely scared the crap out of me, but at the same time, my favourite part of RAW would be when he'd suddenly come out during some random match and chokeslam everyone.

They just built the whole thing up so well, from memory, and over a period of 4-5 months, rather than a few weeks. Though this was back in the days when I was young enough to actually care about who won each match.

Coming away from the Undertaker gimmicks, how about this for a theme?

The beat is amazing when you have earphones in listening to it. I particularly love Owen's version of it.

I thought it was cool at first, but the problem was it seemed that's all it was about...trying to make the Undertaker look cool, and it wore off before long. and how many times did they go with the "oh no, they're attacking Undertaker's bike, he wont like that" angle? Twice was already too many.

Plus, when he first came back under that gimmick, during the iron man match, they fecked up the timing and he had to come charging out on his motorbike before his music had properly hit otherwise the time would have run out...ruining months of building him up. Nobody inside or outside the ring seemed to have a clue what was going on or what to do

I kind of wish they'd do the same this time around. Kane terrorizes faces until Cena turns heel. He's sort of doing it, but only to Zack Ryder and Eve.

Loved the Rock when he was in the Nation.

There were loads of stables around that time. Some good, and some not so good.

Remember Kaientai? Some terrible story line about castrating Val Venis.

Also the Oddities were so bad they were good

Yea I agree, there is only so much you can do with the biker gimmick. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of Undertaker as a face, I think he is much better as a heel in the dark lord style persona. As a biker I just didn't really feel a connection, I mean I'm not a biker myself to who gives a feck. It was almost like the gimmick didn't have substance. He came out on a bike and wearing biker clothes but they never really pushed the gimmick over than that.

Also hated Stone Colds heel turn. It seemed to last forever and he was awesome as a tweener. The whole alliance angle just didn't really work. The biggest WWE star was on the alliance team. If more of the big name WCW wrestlers were involved it could have been much better

I love Kane's character, but obviously more-so in the late 90's and just beyond. Back then he was a menace, but also a fecking brick wall. Although he still is now, his menacing ways while more creepy, make him seem a bit of a chicken shit when up against certain characters, such as John Cena right now. Back in the early days, he would never walk/run away from a fight/match like he does currently. He wouldn't be the guy looking for the cheap shot, although I understand how they're trying to work the heel angle (not that it's working, mind). The whole mask persona is totally wasted in the way they're doing things right now in my opinion, but maybe I'm just biased because Kane was always my favourite wrestler? The impact the mask was having on fans like me, was more like making Kane a potential Undertaker opponent at Wrestlemania. Instead, he's just seeming like fodder for Cena until he faces the Rock at Wrestlemania.. Probably leaving Kane to do nothing and having the mask being pointless.

Ah well.

Is that the Godfather in there as well...???

The some Godfather that would immortalize the phrase "Pimpin ain't easy"... and lead a posse of scantily clad women to the ring in a line he refered to as "The Ho Train"??? those were the days.

I wonder if that would fly now?

Heh, Undertaker cutting his hair in the promo. There was an image revealed a while back showing that Undertaker was now bald / had short hair, so this must be how they'll get to that. Maybe it's a return of the American Bad Ass gimmick?

They're making a real effort to make this Kane/Cena (feat. Eve & Zack Ryder) storyline the worst of the year.

They just fecking succeeded, it would have worked with just Cena and Kane. That little exchange their was hilariously shit. Zack got friend-zoned too

I like to imagine Kane driving along talking to Eve, then raging when he realised she wasn't actually there.

Was that RAW I just watched or Saved By the Bell??

feck me... it's dross like that makes me both a) embarassed to like wrestling, and b) never openly admit to doing so apart from behind an Internet Username on the Caf.

That ending was fecking hilarious, although I would suggest that the whole storyline wouldn't have been that bad if any fecker could act!

Also Undertaker cutting the wig had me in stitches.

I think I know where this is going now.

Does anyone else find it odd how Eve has never been harmed by Kane yet? Despite all the antics. I think she's actually been working with Kane in order to play Cena and Ryder, to get Cena to 'embrace the hate'. If we take a look back, we can make some sense out of it:

I remember Eve and Ryder running to a car, while Eve got inside - Ryder and Cena were both eventually attacked. This could be seen as Eve luring them into a trap. When Ryder was attacked at the Royal Rumble, Eve simply wasn't there. She's blamed Cena for Ryder getting hurt, but yet she kisses him on Raw? I'd imagine purposely in front of Ryder. On Raw last time, she easily escaped from the ambulance.

Might be looking too much into the storyline, but I see an Eve heel turn at the Elimination Chamber resulting in Kane winning. Cena will possibly then get a break from wrestling until Wrestlemania, or at least until mid-March where they can start to build up his match against the Rock again. Maybe they'd show promos of Cena embracing hate on the lead up.

I think it's very obvious that Eve will turn heel.

Big change regarding Elimination Chamber:
Randy Orton out of the Smackdown chamber due to a concussion. Santino Marella replaces him.

I have the feeling that both champions will retain their titles.

They have an amazing talent in Drew Galloway waiting in the wings and they plump for Santino? Utter fecking madness.

WWE Wrestlefest has been announced for iOS, its out next week

used to love playing Wrestlefest at the arcade

The Elimination chamber matches will be long, considering a pod pops open every 5(?) minutes.

Who's everyone's picks to win?
Diva's: Beth Phoenix
John Cena vs. Kane: John Cena
Raw EC: Chris Jericho
Smackdown EC: Daniel Bryan
