Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

I love Lucha Underground. Not just the wrestling, but the storylines and the way the matches are actually shot has this really cool style. I'd like to explain exactly what I'm talking about, but I know sod all about directing and camerawork and all that.

I like Matt Striker as a commentator. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Also Ivelisse

They got my attention with that sick casket match last month...that's just grabbed me by the balls and dragged me to bed. Where can I get the most up to date episodes?

I keep meaning to get into Lucha. Do people tend to torrent the episodes in the UK?

I've not watched any WWE since Mania. I've kept upto date reading the results but I cancelled my network subscription last week too.

Horrible KotR. No clue why Sheamus and Ziggler were even there. They have their own push and don't need to be in KotR. Would have loved if Damien Sandow got a push back up here. He would have made a good king!

Ambrose loses again. Meh! Will he ever get a proper thrust up? From fighting Rollins, then feuding Bray, then Luke Harper and who else? Wins one, loses next. Will he ever get a proper storyline?

Same here

Everything since his Rollins feud has been filler really. I can't even remember most of it.

Ambrose I think has only won one PPV match since the breakup of the shield (so a year) and that was only at Extreme Rules lol.

It's how they underutilised wrestlers like Ambrose that turned me off. He was getting huge pops during his Rollins feud and they just discarded him once it was over. Similar to Sandow. It's like they punish the guys that get themselves over organically.

Cos Bray needed to win to build to lose to Taker lol. Ambrose lost his feud to Bray clean too. That was just crazy when you think about it. He lost his feud to Rollins, cos of Bray. He then lost his feud with Bray and then started stealing the IC title (and didnt win that either). Which resulted in him feuding with Harper.

Harper and Rowan mean while are jobbers and should never have been broken up. And all this whilst Bray loses the big feud. He lost to Cena and he lost to Taker. That Jericho feud did absolutely nothing for him (though I did laugh when he lost the first match lol). And speaking of Cena, Rusev is going to lose a third in a row to Cena.

Ryder, Mizdow, Cesaro, Axel. Not saying they are all main eventers, but once they find something amazing and the fans get behind it, its like WWE panic and go out and intentionally destroy them because it was never meant to happen.

Just saw Sandow's promo from RAW. He seemed genuinely humbled by the fans and I think he was speaking a lot of truths about his previous gimmicks, only for him to be stuck with some shitty mimicking gimmick as they try and recapture how well he did as Mizdow.

What did Sandow say in his promo?
The beginning of it seemed semi-shoot where he took the piss out of his old Intellectual Saviour gimmick and then he said that he was told he wasn't entertaining and that he received criticism from his peers for the imitation gimmick (The Miz stuff and the other week to week ones he did) but he turned it around and got the fans on his side and he thanked them. It was interesting to see a mid-card guy give a promo like that.

Then Axel came out with his stale shite.

I really like the intellectual saviour Sandow. Old school heel stuff.

Him repeating Axel was god awful. It sounded like the crowd were laughing out of pity. Totally ruined the promo. He should have just beaten the feck out of the Ax man and walked off.

That's his gimmick now apparently. He was mimicking Renee Young in a backstage interview on the app apparently.

It's going to get old real fast. Imagine doing this on a weekly basis the crowd is going to hate him.

So basically the old gimmick minus dressing up like them

WWE have dropped the ball on him like they did with Riley when he broke up with Miz.

Bet people said that about Austins WHAT!!! chant, that's still going today. Will all depend on the person trying to pull it off.

I still harbour hope that they give Barrett a title match on one of the UK Raw's (the one in November is ideal) - my ideal scenario would be where he wins MITB, and announces the next night on RAW that he's going to challenge the champion on RAW in England. Then he can build up to it himself for months and months, and by the time it actually comes around, it'll feel like a big match and the UK crowd will be incredibly hot. He doesn't even have to win the match, but it would be a great way of getting him over.

This sounds awesome.

Also, this is hilarious...

rofl. Foley is great.

Also BNB winning KOTR was right move imo. They made Neville look great and now its 1-1 between the two Englishmen. (Both from a place thats only an hour or two away from London according to Cole haha)

Glad they didnt just keep the KOTR for Raw only and let it have its own special. Was a smart move and gave it more focus especially the backstage interviews. Hopefully they dont go back to making BNB losing every week like they always seem to do.

Just watching Smackdown, the new Damian Sandow gimmick is possibly the worst ever.

I saw a glimpse of it on the JBL and Renee Show, it's basically a child's idea of being clever turned into a wrestling gimmick.

I do quite like the idea of a chameleon gimmick, in terms of moveset. If the mimicry was Sandow hitting his opponent's finishers (probably best not having him face Adrian Neville), then that'd be pretty cool. This repetition thing is crap though.

I haven't even seen it and yet I already hate it. Should have known they would find a way to feck up his popularity.

I got watching some old Seth Rollins matches from NXT and damn did he have some great moves, the WWE have trimmed his move set down to about 20% of what it used to be.

I've only just got back into wrestling and I hated Rollins at first but he's fast becoming my favourite wrestler. He needs the curb stomp back though it's a huge part of his character imo.

They did that a decade ago with one of the most worst characters they have ever had.

Turning Eugene heel and keeping the Eugene character was even worse. Eugene wasnt that bad tbh, but they had a fantastic chance when ECW launched for him to denounce that character.

Giving Barrett the KOTR title is basically a way to distance him from the 'I'm afraid I've got some bad news' line which was getting him way too over. Now he can be obnoxious 'King Barrett'

That wasn't Eugene's gimmick at all, or even part of it. He did moves like the Stunner, or Junkyard Dog's headbutt thing, but never against Austin or Junkyard Dog. What I'm talking about is a guy using his opponent's move against them in an arrogant "I can even do that better than you" way.

I dont understand it though. His initial promo on Raw was good about fans backing him.

Then it was the forced comedy which will kill him long term.

Ok Caftards!

If there were any plausible match WWE could do that would generate the most money and viewership from non-WWE fans. Like the Manny vs Money boxing match. What would it be? Rock vs Cena is probably the most hyped one I've witnessed so far.

You can use anyone alive. So Stone Cold, The Rock, CM Punk all qualify. Hulk Hogan too, even though he is old and won't generate as much interest now.

Obviously you can use Bryan, who is popular to wrestling purists, but would he really generate much interest from casual fans?

If I were to try to make a match that would make the most money it would be...

The Rock vs Brock Lesnar
