Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Mets should have stayed quiet, he's let it go to his head.

Just got round to watching MITB and catching up with Raw.

I thought last night was one of the better Raws of the year and was pleasantly surprised with it.

Some good matches on the show, plenty of surprise returns and some good feuds building.

Jericho/Wyatt, tag team title picture and Rollins/Ambrose will be enough to keep me entertained through the summer and I will have an open mind on Cena vs Lesnar.

Not to fussed with the Battleground title match and whatever they do with Cena until he starts his angle with Lesnar.

I'm not particularly.

Say what you want about the McMahon family, but all of them have shown a willingness to get completely humiliated on tv when it's the right move, more so than most would do in their position.

None more so than Shane McMahon. Don't think you'd see many sons of chairmen willing to get thrown/jump off giant structures

IIRC, Jericho said in his book, the time he was doing the bits with Steph, Vince actively encouraged him to make it worse and worse.

Tbh, they really always were about "best for business".

Lads, I've just used unblock-us on my ipad and subscribed to the wwe network, it is actually amazing! I was watching wrestlemania 10 before I realised that I'm supposed to be working.

Oh my god. The wwe network actually has over the edge '99 on there, I'm shocked

They confirmed that they would when they announced the Network, along with the disclaimer on any footage including Benoit.

Out of interest what footage is there of that fateful fall? Is it just the original footage of JR addressing the camera out of character saying this in not part of the entertainment?

Steph dancing to Cena's music turned me on :nervous:

I've not had a chance to watch the whole ppv yet, i watched the opening match which was x-pac and kane defending the tag titles against d-lo and mark henry. There was a picture of owen at the start of the broadcast and a message that said "dedicated to the memory of owen hart, who accidently died during this broadcast" i had to go back into the office and then had to pick up my princess so i won't get a chance to watch it until tomorrow, but somehow it just doesn't feel right to carry on watching it. On a side note I thought i'd try out the live streaming content and i was watching a raw from 2 weeks before the '95 rumble, anyway after the opening match (Razor vs owen for the intercontinental championship) they cut to a royal rumble promo, but the video froze and the audio carried on, i flicked it off and clicked the live link to go back and found that total divas was playing instead, it was very bizarre but it has been the only glitch so far. It's absolute quality for the price.

I'll grab it when its available this side of the pond, can't be arsed with all the VPN shit.

I only really want it for the Attitude era stuff (specifically the Ministry of Darkness storylines) and the PPVs.

Ha!

I've just had a quick flick through the ppv, they have completely removed the whole Owen section which is good, something always bothered me about the end of that ppv, just before the main event it was announced that Owen had died, why did they continue? Of all the fans in the arena and even the ppv audience, nobody would have complained if the event had stopped. It should never have continued.

Vince has always maintained that the show must go on no matter what, he's old school like that.

Sometimes like with Owen it seems too far, sometimes such as with Brian Pillman it seems entirely reasonable.

In fact, the only time I can think of where he didn't go on with his show anyway was Benoit, so, ya know, if anything he's probably more dead set on that than ever.

Yea but we're talking about their friend and colleague dying during the show

I know, but as @phelans shorts said above it's an old school attitude in all entertainment/performing circles and these performers take a lot of pride in putting on the show that they do. You'll often hear people say that it's what the deceased would have wanted, and they're right.

I know it was a tough call but i remember watching the ppv live and even at 12 years old thinking to myself that it's a bit weird that just before the main event they announced he had died and half an hour later JR was cursing about Austin being screwed out of the wwf title, it just felt wrong. Back then i used to record and keep every ppv so i actually still have the original live broadcast somewhere in my parents attic.

As far as I am aware there is no released footage of the fall. I was watching the event live. It happened during the promo.

Think it was godfather vs blue blazer. When promo ended they just showed long distance shits of the crowd for a while

Does anyone remember Brian Pillman, he died the day of a ppv and they only found out just out before and show went on just as normal too

Yea they cut straight to a video promo of the rock vs hhh which was the following match, I remember being confused by it at the time. Then they cut to a couple of completely random video packages and the next shot we saw was JR telling us what happened.

Wait, so Emma and Paige are like best mates right? I can't have Paige being upset - not on.

Seriously harsh if she simply forgot to pay for the case.

Long live the Emmalution.

There's a few possibilities. 1) they really don't buy her story, 2) this being news in Stanford, the home of WWE, and the McMahons themselves has really pissed them off, 3) they may have internal complaints of this ilk already.

Or, most likely, they've taken any excuse they can to get rid of someone who was making them no money while they're cutting costs.

You're getting Emma and Summer mixed up. Easily done I suppose...

I know them apart, just thought Emma and Paige were pretty close from being in NXT/travelling together.

Did the WWE even wish her well in her future Emmadeavors?

She may have had her Visa revoked over the incident. It could be out of WWE's control (doubtful).

See when someone says "Emma Dance" I think this...

...not this...

I doubt she stole it. Apparently she forgot to pay on the self service checkout. Mistakes happen.

To sack her over that and another Diva was charged with DUI yet still keeps her job is silly.
