To quote Austin, he reckons he can go for another run if the right opportunity came along from a business sense...He's healed up according to him and feels better then ever. But he won't come back. Austin wants nothing to do with the current product. I don't blame him
Like to know where you got the quote from?
Everything I have watched and read since 2003 basically says he can't wrestle again because the severity of the neck injury. I remember Edge especially saying he had the same injury Austin had and that they were both told they would be risking paralysis if they had a match. Edge said Austin had helped him through his unexpected retirement.
I'm pretty sure Austin would have had a match by now, especially with Hogan, if it was not for his injuries. The pay off would have been a lot higher than his straight to DVD film career.
Thinking about it I can't remember him taking a single move since his retirement match with the Rock and he's been on raw plenty of times and had a big angle with Bischoff for GM which closed in Survivor Series 2003 where he gave out plenty of punishment but I can't remember him taking one impactful move. That angle was used to get Orton and Batista over and I'm sure he would have taken an RKO or a Batista Bomb/Spinebuster if he was capable.
