Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

I cant believe that is the Rock. What the feck has he done to himself??

Anyways, is this accurate?

I saw big show at #43 and quit at that stage.
These things are always contentious. Shawn Michaels at number 1 is hardly controversial though, he had all the qualities.

It depends what you're measuring these things on. From a pure wrestling perspective, I wouldn't put Hogan anywhere near the top. For me, the likes of Benoit, Angle and Jericho would be much higher in that respect. Look up the series of Benoit vs. Angle matches on YouTube, they were sensational. It also depends what style you prefer - technical like Daniel Bryan vs. smash-mouth like Stone Cold.

If you're measuring on personality and charisma, in comes The Rock, Hogan etc. These guys would draw a crowd like no other because everyone wanted to know what they were going to say next.

Good story-telling is synonymous with The Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

In the end, I would venture that a major (if not most important) part of a wrestler's legacy is how they've been booked and how the characters make the most of it. What makes a feud so captivating is how the characters are booked, but also how they tell the story.

CM Punk's been reigning for 350-odd days but it's only now he's taking somewhat of a centre stage and even still it's all a bit wishy-washy. His finest moment was of course that promo, but since then, he hasn't really reached those heights.

Compare that with Stone Cold's promo at King Of The Ring. After that he went on to become a megastar. He had the personality, but he also had the right feuds to propel him as one of the best - or the pioneer of the Attitude Era if you like.

Just got back from the wembley arena smackdown house show.

Apparently The Rock is in final talks to be in I'm a Celebrity :|

He can't be that desperate, surely?

Also, you just know that all the headlines will be "Rock to piledrive the competition?" Because that's literally the only wrestling move mainstream journalists can remember.

If he's having a rough time of it, and the papers do their research...:

DWAYNE HITS ROCK BOTTOM

Did not realise Dwayne was that desperate!

He will lose credibility for doing it and rightly so

Who has bought the WWE 13 game?

I only bought it for nostalgic purposes and will probably trade it in for Need for Speed when the time is right.

Anyone got it? What do you think of it?

How was it?

Yeah not bad mate. A pretty lightweight roster considering the £55 price of a ticket, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Sheamus vs The big show was pretty damn good. The big show is insanely massive!

I'm considering buying it. I'm guessing it isn't all that if you're looking to trade it already?

The commentators always harp on about how "you need to see Big Show live to appreciate how big he is." It's actually true. Great Khali as well.

The guy that surprised me with how big he is was Viscera. He made his entrance with a load of other guys, because they were doing one of those "DX vs. everybody" segments, and he looked like a planet being orbited. Insane.

About WWE '13, I got it today, but have yet to actually put it in the console and play on it.

Spot the difference?

It was decent, though with more thanks to the crowd then anything else... I think however it's yet another case of what could have been a superb 2-hour edition of RAW lost...

The 3 hours are grating aren't they. It seems to be getting longer and longer even though I'm forwarding through most of it.

The latest PPV was quite awful wasn't it. The main event was such a let down, and I can't believe Big Show is a main champion.

It was good Big Show won, Sheamus has been steamrolling opponents lately.

I think WWE's decision to name some PPV's after their gimmick matches is a bit stupid though. Last year at HIAC, there were 2-3 HIAC matches, but once you've seen one, you've seen them all practically. This year there was only one, but then what's the point of naming the PPV HIAC if there's only going to be one match? Plus, you might have HIAC matches in one of the big four PPV's at different points in the year.

I remember back when they used to be called 'Unforgiven' and 'Backlash' and so on. Much better!

I think they do it because it stabilizes the buy rates. Previously buy rates go up and down based on feuds, but they're far more consistent now as people will pay to see a hell in a cell match, whereas they might not pay for a PPV if its main event is gonna be a regular singles match. It means they can predict the buy rates basically

I just don't see Big Show as a main eventer, he never has been before until recently. He's went through so many stupid gimmicks too. They must have ran out of ideas/names for events.

Valentine's day massacre was the first live PPV I watched. Stone Cold against Vince Mcmahon in a cage match. It was insane at the time.

I went to the Raw house show here at the Odyssey Arena on Wednesday night. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Our crowd was fabulous - quite a few Albert chants towards Tensai  Also during the Ziggler/Cena match, a lot of chants - "let's go Ziggler/let's go Cena", and also "let's go Cena/Cena sucks".

Never for long though, he's been a wwe/world champion 4 times and put the 4 reigns together have lasted not even 3 months.

You don't have to be the champion to be in the main event. Otherwise main event matches would just be one guy standing there looking like a lemon.

A bit like how most Alberto promos go.

Missed that :(

Wrestlemania 29 pre-sale started yesterday. I went on Ticketmaster and held 2 tickets going at $400 each for the 3 minutes. It felt so good. May have pissed a lot of people off though considering I had no intention of buying them!

Played the game and I love it - just what I wanted to relive those childhood memories.

One thing I cannot seem to do is submit anybody. How do you do it? Is it just a case of mashing the buttons super fast? The computer seems to have the turbo controller on as it always gets out of my submission even when I've pounded the shit out of them and left them on a flatline. Help

That was a decent promo by referee Brad Maddox on Raw. Apparently, he wasn't see as anything special in WWE's developmental division, however, HHH sees something in him and is apparently using him as his 'pet project'. Who knows? with the referee screwjob, decently logical promo and a decent look, he might have a shot, the kid.

Thought Survivor Series was good. Interesting to see where Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose go from here, also figure we may see more of Maddox along with these lads.

yeah I doubt they would build Maddox up so much to just have ryback dump on him and then cya.

I wonder how long they will continue the ryback is invincible role and just have people cheat him out the match

Okay, for those whom don't know about Dean Ambrose's background before debuting on Raw last week, he's incredibly highly rated by his peers. He's seen by many as a guy with the potential to be as big as The Rock and Steve Austin, with a natural charisma of Brian Pillman quality.

This is some serious mic work, folks.
