Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Show waaay too long. I actually fell asleep during the main event.

What the hell was Balor v Lashley doing that high up the card ? You can tell they sent Truth and Carmella out to wake the crowd after that. It must of been horrible being at a live event for 7 hours
The 2nd to last match tends to be the piss break match up

Hopefully tonight Becky beats the snot out of Michael Cole, Stephanie and anyone who gets in her way then we get a massive scene where she starts spouting “the double champ does what the F*£k she wants”

Although I’m kinda expecting that we’ll get the 4 horsewoman thing starting now.

Iconics the worst wrestlers on the roster winning the womens tag belts has killed that belt already.

By the sounds of it I stopped watching at the right time and Kofi/Bryan was the end of Wrestlemania for me...

Reading reactions there seems to be a lot of conspiracies going about that Vince screwed Ronda with that botch pin as she was supposed to lose by tapping out but was refusing as she never lost in Judo or MMA from submission.

Felt the show was in 2 parts. The first part had a really good pace and structure, and to a peak with Kofi winning. But then the show wasnt finished and there was a second part, that all seemed a bit rushed and disjointed, the crowd was flatter and most of the people watching at home were knackered. Nearly 8 hours of wrestling is far too long and it became a battle to watch. Which then isnt helped with the feckery of the ending. Headline match of the biggest show shouldnt be decided by a fecking roll up

If that's true isn't it the case that she wouldn't really have been screwed over? By which I mean she lost but still avoided the submission while even the pinfall itself was controversial and therefore she looks relatively despite dropping the belt.

We all popped for Dr of Thuganomics tbf.

I don't understand this type of reaction. His win last night was all time great Wrestlemania moment. The feud leading up to it was fantastic.

Saying "Yeah but just you wait 3 months" is silly. Kofi is good in the ring plus has Woods and E to carry his averageness on the mic. His reign will be good, in my opinion.

Faces are almost always better chasing the title than actually having it. Especially in WWE. Champs lose a bunch for some reason, setting up the challengers unlike in the distant past where champs were kept strong and didnt lose, till they lost the title.

So it'd be better for Kofi to have the title a short time and then get back to chasing it again, where he can go on another good run with momentum rather than having to make someone else look like they're going to take his title every few weeks

Makes no sense. Brock has been far more of a diva and hard to deal with and Vince hasn't done that with him, he's just paid him more and more. He'll do the same with Ronda if theres a chance she'll stay on.

It would have been silly if she tapped out to Becky. If she came back for a special appearance in the future she wouldnt be the same star. Brock doesnt get beaten with submissions so why would she? And shes the submission fighter. Far more believable if someone knocked her out, or she got pinned like she did.

Becky and Ronda just messed up the move and the momentum took her shoulder off the mat at the beginning. The ref could have potentially fixed it by noticing and restarting the count when her shoulder went back down. But that didnt happen

Because a submission hold is her finisher (which sucks). Her winning the biggest event of all she is expected use her best move. And Ronda supposively leaving she was supposed to put her over.
I take it you've never heard of Vince screwing someone over before...

Not against a submission mma fighter. This isnt mma and her gimmick isnt even an mma fighter. Her gimmick is a professional wrestler who beats wrestlers with a submission.

I guess you've never seen Brock throw the title at Vince

Yes and no, the alternative was Becky was going to tap out Charlotte. But was called mid match to finish to like it did backstage. Makes sense with Ronda supposively leaving for her to take the loss, that how things tend to work.

But the whole thing could just be a complete botch, or its a actually storyline and she put her shoulder up on purposes and was never actually pinned. If you watch the clip though, Becky is definitely putting more weight behind then necessary and tangling up her arms with her legs

I dont even understand your first sentence

Her gimmick is Ronda Rousey.

I ve only just starting watching wrestling again sporadically after many years so have no idea about Brock, but a quick google search says he tapped out before. And you are comparing mma fighters thinking they must be the the same, when they are clearly two very different types of people. Just see how both handled their mma defeats

I'm obviously talking about Becky. She beats professional wrestlers with a submission move. She doesnt beat MMA fighters with a submission move. She doesnt even fight MMA.

You're upset because you expected something. Wrestling is rarely good when it goes in the expected way just the same as most stories. You need some surprises and things you dont see coming else theres not much point watching

 upset about what? i said i read about the reaction and people sayings there a conspiracy, its not me coming up with it, ffs. Your comprehension is not very good just like you trying to get a point across

You're the one choosing to believe silly rumours. Nobody was talking about it, you brought it up. Its from you

Yes, i created the whole idea and put it on the internet. fckinghell. I guess you are the authority on wrestling for what people should talk about

As i said i haven't watched wrestling for ages so know little about Brock in wwe, but a quick google search says hes tapped out before, so you want to create lies to try and make points, go ahead, but it pretty much cements what i think about you as a poster...

So your argument is something that happened 4 years ago with The Undertaker? I guess Becky needs to win at every Wrestlemania too.

I didnt lie. I wasnt watching wrestling in 2015, I had quite a long break actually. I just didnt know he tapped out to the Undertaker. I knew he tapped BEFORE becoming an MMA fighter and being treated differently when he returned to wrestling. But I didnt know that Undertaker tapped him out.

But Becky is obviously not the undertaker, and its pretty funny that you're upset when Becky won 2 titles. Even that isnt enough for some Becky fans. Yikes

 OK whatever.
No, the funny thing is you've gone from extremely cocky and arrogant as to knowing exactly what happened and anyone believing or discussing a conspiracy is a idiot, to being inconspicuous to your own point you are making. I couldn't give a damm, another thing you want to make up to hide your deficiencies in points you want to make.

This is what I get for talking to someone who can't even put a capital letter at the start of their username. I'll turn your writing into invisible ink for me.

Now that Becky has actually won the belts watch me turn on her in a month. The chase is almost never as good as the reign itself.

Daniel Bryan is right, fans are FICKLE!

Bold probably not true

Depends how they book her from now (same for Kofi and Seth). I'd not have any of them wrestle this week, a few good promos will suffice, and give the chasing pack a chance to showcase themselves. Makes the champion more important when they do wrestle

Isn't that exactly what they tried to do with Brock?

It's taken essentially three sittings and it still felt a massive slog. Overall booking and winners were the right choices bar maybe one or two but match quality once again was pretty low. Kofi winning was the highlight. A good match and clean victory unlike the women's match. They can't help themselves can they? It's supposed to be the culmination of Becky reaching the top and a feel good ending to the show. Just have her tap out Ronda. Now we'll get this whole fluke win bollocks.

Difference being he was never even there at all. I can get hyped for a champion from promos, brawls etc. I just dont need to see the champ wrestle every week, dont need to oversaturate on matches.

What we'll get for the next 4 weeks is Becky vs her challenger at MITB in some kind of match, and by the time the PPV comes round its boring because we have seen it so much. Its ok to not have them wrestle each other, and just hype up the PPV match. Its what they used to do way back when, and there is so much more talent available on the undercard that doesnt get a chance that you dont need your top top guys doing everything. Even last night, nearly 8 hours of wrestling, and people like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Bray Wyatt etc werent on the card (for whatever reason), there is so much high level talent that can be used to make a good show, but instead they'll continue to push 1 or 2 people a lot and in a year we all complain that people arent getting used properly.

Haven't watched wrasslin' for a while, didn't even see this Mania but I bet what'll happen is Becky feuds with Charlotte. First week she cuts a promo and then in subsequent weeks, they fight at least twice with inconclusive endings, then the week before the PPV, they have to team up with the stipulation of them being DQ'd from the PPV if they lay hands on each other. It's always the fecking same these days

They can't continue with Charlotte and Becky. They have been feuding non-stop since Summerslam last year. They should be kept apart for a very long time despite working very well together.

If Ronda is sticking around (unlikely as she apparently broke her hand last night) then have her and Becky feud until MITB and do whatever. If Ronda is leaving, it should be a clean slate as far as feuds go.

Becky and Sasha could be fun, they had a great match in NXT.

Replace Charlotte with anyone on the roster. They'll still follow the recipe I listed out there. The whole thing has become predictable and stagnant. I only follow wrestling now via this thread because there's some funny feckers in here.

At least the main event didn't have ric flair come out with the camera focused on him all the time and ending with him kissing forcefully one of the women again

Or Stephanie coming out ugh

It was an alright show. The crowd were not great but I don't blame them as the show was super long.

I don't have much excitement about Raw tonight or wrestling as a whole going forward. Who might be compelling challengers for Kofi and Rollins now? The heels on Raw look very weak, especially with McIntyre jobbing to Reigns (I thought Reigns could have taken a win to build up a redemption arc after his recovery). On SD, Bryan has been super entertaining but booked to look like a loser. Samoa Joe might finally get a monster push. Other than that, I'm struggling to see any threatening heels. There's not too many possible call ups to be excited about with several going up earlier this year. Maybe Undisputed Era and Kairi/Shirai? I don't see many more than that going up, though I might be very wrong.

I'm also pissed off at how badly EC3 has been treated and Eli Drake's sacking from Impact. For me, they are a rare breed today of wrestlers that look and act like stars and can talk well on the mic. They should be towards the top of the business but I fully expect Drake to be overlooked by WWE and retire from wrestling. EC3 looks to be staying in jobberville for a long time. It sucks. The wrestling business is far too work rate/hardcore fan centric.

Rey Mysterio was WWE heavyweight champion for goodness sake
Sheamus, Del Rio, The Miz (before he was actually decent). Sure there's a few more questionable champions, but Kofi is an insult the title and last champions...
