THIRD NPOWER TEST, OLD TRAFFORD: ENGLAND v WEST INDIES

Chanderpaul just got his century and the first West Indies player to do so this series.
Going to be an interesting finish now, 88 runs to win, 3 wickets needed for England

Pitch is offering a lot to the bowlers. Next 30 or so runs could decided it. If they don't lose another wicket, they should win.

Great start for England during the afternoon session. 2 wickets gone thanks to Harmison, so just the one left for the Windies. They need 70 to win but England only need one wicket so look like they are going to win

The 3rd umpire says out, so yes England have finally won!
Credit to the West Indies for putting up a fight

Well done to England to finally doing it. But you have to feel a better bowling attack would have gotten rid of the Windies a long while ago. Plunkett has to be dropped.

Agree. I would play Hoggard, Anderson and perhaps Mahmood ahead of him. Obviously when Flintoff recovers, he will replace him.
I think Sidebottom has done enough to earn a few more games and same with prior

Well we wern't wrong. Hoggard has replaced Plunkett for the 4th test

Stuart Broad may replace Plunkett aswell, he has just returned from injury.

Yeah though hopefully Hoggard isnt batting as high up as number 8. That would be dreadful. But I suppose against the Windies' general attack it shouldn't be as a big problem as it would say against Australia. More pressure on Prior to deliver.

I'd like to see Broad have another season at County Level before he steps up. He is still learning his game.

All true, im still yet to be convinced by Prior, id like to see him have to grind an innings, and play a decent spinner. India should be a decent test.
