THIRD NPOWER TEST, OLD TRAFFORD: ENGLAND v WEST INDIES

Pietersen is out in a bizarre, bizarre way. Bravo gets a wicket via a bouncer that hits KP's helmet and then the helmet goes on to the wicket. KP out hit wicket.

221-3. Never seen a dismissal like that before!

Pieterson out, a very stragne dismissal to say the least. 221-3

228-3 as Tea closes play. Cook is on 89 at the moment. England will probably bat for a bit longer and then get the Windies in for a few overs before the close of play.

Brilliant performance by Sammy; shame it is all too late. England should have it all wrapped by tomorrow.

Yes, I plan to cash in on the reduced pricing and hopefully still get a near full days play. We'll see how much the Windies have about them I guess

Looks like the Windies will live to fight another day. 254-5. Chanderpaul still going strong. England are so dependent on Monty Panesar.

Windies battling away to be fair to them. I thought it would be over by now but Morton and Chanderpaul prevented it. Chanderpaul could become the first West Indies player to get a century this series
Got the 5th wicket now so i still expect England to win. Plus we haven't been too lucky with umpire decisions today but that's the way it goes.
262-5

Windies reach 300 and only need 155 more to win, with 5 wickets in hand, they could actually do it. Chanderpaul's looking like he could score a century and is forming a good partnership with Ramdin.

End of day 4 - 301-5
West Indies have really given themselves a decent chance of winning this, need 154 runs to win, they've done well to be fair to them.

Yeah a lot will depend on how long can Chanderpaul and Ramdin hang around tomorrow morning. If they get to 455, it would be a world record.

Good effort from Windies. I have managed to very badly burn my nose, and in the most entertaining moment of the entire day, built the largest tower in OT. Pictures to follow...

I doubt it'll happen. That's still a huge ask.

Miss the old Eng/Windies Tests. Shedloads of West Indian and people of WI origin used to got the matches, it created an amazing atmosphere. Second/third generations don't seem to be interested, which is sad.

Fair play to Windies, I reckon they'll get within a hundred but be bowled out in tomorrows morning session

Yeah it's a huge ask but they've given themsleves a chance which is more than anyone expected at the beginning of the day

The upcoming England v India tests should create an amazing atmosphere I reckon.

Right, it's been brought to my attention I have been rather lax in my posting in here. So...

1) What is going on with my mate Straussy? He's better than this.

2) Read an article about Cookie this morning possibly being on his way to becoming one of the greats...Tendulkar having only scored 2 more tons by the time he was 23 (Cookie has 7 tests in which to beat that).

3) KP's dismissal was hysterical...gave The Times the chance to run the headline, "KP Nuts own wicket!"

4) I despairing slightly less of Harmison.

5) Chanderpaul sparing Windies blushes again...but not ours.

6) Should've had this tied up by now.

7) Glad to see my lucky threads are back tho.

Off colour. Should go back to Middlesex to score some runs. Then he will be back to his best.

Slightly premature I reckon, but he is some prospect!

Agreed, and highly unfortunate. Reckon he would have got a ton otherwise

4) I despairing slightly less of Harmison.

You and me both. Plunkett, however, should be fired out of a cannon into the Sun

5) Chanderpaul sparing Windies blushes again...but not ours.

All set up for a cracking day tomorrow!

6) Should've had this tied up by now.

Yep, but Monty holds the key. If Chanderpaul goes, we will win

7) Glad to see my lucky threads are back tho.

So am I!:D

Every thread I started during the 2004 summer season turned to gold (crap opposition aside) then it all started to go downhill and I was banned from starting Test threads :(

Hmm, the risk of a gay username awaits me again here...

I wouldn't have thought he was so attractive to females to be honest.

Ah well. Nice shirt tho, tell him.

He don't look like Mr Walker if that's what you're after!

No one looks like Paul Walker. This is one of nature's cruellest tricks. Up there with menstration and external gonads.

Benny Hill

Steve Harmison.

I would, as it goes.

What you wearing?

I don't even know who Paul Walker is. After a quick search of Google Images I realise that I don't look a lot like him.

Apart from having blue eyes, and having a shaved head, and being tall. I wouldn't want to get your hopes up GG!

Paul Walker is some dude that's been in what I think is a lot of shitty films.

Just the one wicket taken so far, Ramdin by Panesar. Windies need 124 to win, England need 4 wickets, so looks like an interesting end to the match. Chanderpaul's on 86 so looks like he'll get his hundred, Monty is key for England now

To update, Monty took a belter of a caught and bowled, 3 wickets or 100 runs to go. I heavily suspect the former

I intended to go down again today, only a tenner, alas knackeredness and a 10 hour sleep have ballsed that up. Instead I shall turn my efforts to finding a costume for my Rocky Horror trip tomorrow...
