ThiagOff??
Just saw a tweet which started off 'BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United confirm...' and my heart skipped a beat. Turned out to be about Meulensteen.
Just five new pages today?
Yeah, we might as well start facing facts... It's not happening. We'll never actually sign a fecking midfielder.
Happened to me yesterday watching SSN hearing "Breaking news coming out of Manchester..." Only for it to be about that cnut Tevez
Lets be honest now, it would be a pretty big surprise if he doesn't come after all that's been reported so far. Seems like a matter of when it'll happen to me.
Hope so at least
Press Association are the latest to report that he's told Barca he wants to leave to come here. Other places have said similar but PA are reliable aren't they?

I wonder, if this does fall though, do we have a back up plan? Or is it Thiago or bust?
Don't think they'd have it on their site. They're an agency that provide news to other places, like the BBC.Can't see anything on the Press Association site?

I think that's because it's Barcelona, and Thiago being such a talent, a perfect age, and an absolute bargain for the price quoted it's just difficult to imagine such a deal happening.
Just tell the pricks they can have him back at 28 for a cool 150 million Eurodollarpounds

The Barcelona already know that Thiago has chosen to Manchester United
Thiago Alcantara will play for Manchester United in the coming days. That is the conviction within the Barcelona, where you know that the player has chosen to play in England, particularly in Manchester where guarantee playing time that Tito Vilanova can not offer. The club, though, waiting to hear from the mouth of the player himself, who has called a meeting to announce its decision to pay the clause of 18 million euros and become new player network.
The Barcelona, but try one last time to convince his squad that the Camp Nou is your home and you can succeed in it if you have the patience, gives up the player and only expected to occur around the injection to take advantage of economic to strengthen other parts of the computer. Thiago Silva (PSG) is an express request money Vilanova and Spanish-Brazilian midfielder can be a major push to undertake a costly operation.
Thiago Alcántara struck the deal with United at the end of last week, when his father, Mazinho exfutbolista, was negotiating with the English club in Manchester. The supply of reds devils could reach up to six million euros net for each of the seasons to sign, and it seems that there will be five. While supply may not be the best, if the interest. In fact, the desire to have Thiago at Old Trafford are not new.
For three years, the club handles reports Martin Ferguson, brother of Sir Alex and scout the club, which advises the signing of the young star of Barcelona. The latest data from the U21 European past, where Martin followed in situ the evolution of the midfielder. David Moyes, of course, has given the ok to the operation.
Only last minute intervention of Sandro Rosell, sliding down a new contract, or the heart to the player, can bring down the progress of one of the greatest talents that have come through the ranks at Barcelona in the last decade. Thiago, if nothing remedied, will have to fly away from the Camp Nou to develop at the highest level all you have learned in La Masia.

Yup, that, and probably because it's United chasing him and the last few years we've had a few disappointments when we were so close (Hazard, Lucas, Sneijder, etc.). The feeling on the barca forums, and most other places is that he's basically ours but of course until it's official, it'll be pretty negative in here.
