HEY EVERYONE I IGNORE SOMEONE LOOK AT ME
Apparently, despite FSG's well reported ability to grow revenue streams, despite a net outlay of 22m a year on transfers (Houllier spent more than that in 2000), despite not signing anyone last year, despite having the seventh highest revenue in club football, despite winning the CL and then league title, despite regularly posting profits - the higher wages we're paying these days means we're struggling to break even somehow. Especially in these corona times which evidently require us to be far more prudent than anyone else. Why aren’t you guys spending? I don’t get it.
It seems FSG are oddly more proficient at being smart on the footballing side than on the financial side these days.
