I'm loving Negan, I think he's awesome.

Theory on Reddit saying that Rick and Darryl were communicating use morse code. Might make sense what with the giant morse code poster in the background at the beginning of the episode.
Probably, but with Darryl with Negans lot, it either gives him a death sentence or puts him in more shit than he already is.
TBH, I liked Ricks reasoning for kinda breaking down now.

I feel like it peaks then trickles down hill to the point of me giving up. Then something happens that makes me have to watch the episode.
Neagans gone too long without killing anyone....None of the others saw what he did to Ab and Glenn, for him to be able to waltz into Alexandria. A minor character/extra should have got it so their whole community feared him

i think Rick is already planning ahead trying to figure out how to get rid of the saviors....they've been through to much for them to just bow down to this guy. This group probably hate Negan i.e. Dwight....take the head off if the snake and the rest will fall.

But for reals - I think Negan waltzing in like that added extra insult to Rick, as like you said the others didn't see what he did but for him to just come in and piss all over him (or slip his dick down his throat and make him say thankyou) really rubs it in. He brought Rick to heel in front of all of his people.

Morse code involves dots and dashes transmitted by sound. Maybe hand signals, but very unlikely that both of them would know enough to make it work.

They showed the clip of him doing it on reddit and it apparently looks like it was done via blinking. To be fair, everything supporting the theory sounded very believable from what i've read. I know none of it is technically spoilers but I won't post any either way.

But even still, he has only been in two or three episodes. I am sure his character will develop more. You just have to give it time. He has also been in very similar situations in those episodes, so of course he will behave with some consistency.

I really don't get the point of making that episode an hour long. So many pointless, boring scenes and almost zero zombie killing. And I agree with others that Negan is getting old really fast, now.
I still think Negan is a great character, but I just don't see how they can keep him round for too long.
Keeping the bad guys around for a few seasons works in Game of Thrones for example because there's more than one them. With it being just Negan, it means we are basically going to see him 'shutting that shit down' for the entire series until they finally decide the good guys are going to win. I think that will get boring very quickly.

Trevor from GTA, the guy who spray painted the guy in the finale last season, he's Negans right hand.
I hope he does develop more but as it stands now, yeah he's only been in a few episodes, but two of them were hour long Negan shows, it's put me of him as a character.
It's the writers/producers they obviously think we don't get he's a massive a hole yet and feel the need to hammer it home some more, maybe if he was a bit more versatile, but it's just him talking about his bat being upset and how reasonable he is, his mannerisms were good but I'm tired of it already after negaton one and two

The guy is a legend - hope we get more scenes with him soon.
There's no depth to his character and he gets way too much screen time in those episodes (three out of four instead of two by the way). If the show would alternate between viewpoints and locations in each episode it wouldn't be so bad, but as it stands we've already seen a ridiculous amount of Negan smiling and drawling around. He really isn't anywhere near charismatic or well acted enough to warrant that sort of attention. He's a one-trick caricature and he bores me shitless.
I was a trained signaller who did morse code and I wouldn't have a clue how to do it by blinking enough to make it work. It's fecking ridiculous that these two planned it ahead of time for this sort of scenario. Zombies I can believe, but two tossers doing blinky morse code is just too much.
