Although I agree in principle we should deport Hamas supporters, what‘s concerning here is they could go after students who are merely critical of Trump or Israel as well.

I think we are heading in that direction.

Their view is that if you are pro-Palestinian then you are also pro-Hamas, they don't/won't differentiate beweeen the two

Anyone can be called a pro-Hamas supporter once you set that precedent and they know it. It's stupid.

You could make a better argument for deporting pro-IDF supporters.

I believe Hamas is a designated terrorist organisation in the US so any support for them already has mechanisms in place to deal with that.

This is just a roundabout way to target pro Palestine supporters, immigrants are easy targets if they could they would throw US citizens in jail for being pro Palestinian. It's crazy how much a hold Israel has over US politicians.

Considering that a vast majority of canadians lives close tp the border, plenty of us may plan a day/2 trip to visit south. My mother in law had been going forever 2-3 times a month for 1- 2 nights from vancouver to the states and she had been buying clothes and toys for my kid every single time among other things. She saw how a car was stopped in front of her to pay taxes. And i am sure that it will stop her to travel as much and to buy as much. I was planning to go a 2 nights in seattle with my family to visit the zoo with my kid and other thibgs. Now i might not go. And like us many others i assume

I was on a plane from Germany to the US this past week and have taken the same flight across the pond via Germany or the Netherlands many times and ive never seen the plane so empty on the way back here.

In fact- its basically always full. Not this time though. Perhaps something else is going on and some large group had to cancel or whatever but its hard not to think that it may have something to do with the lessened interest in Europeans coming here as well. Out of the 300 or so seats id be surprised if 100 were filled.

Sorry to jump in the middle but is there a reason to believe @TheGame had any malicious attempt with what he posted? I mean, in some ways all you can do is laugh at this point bc it's all so very ironic and stupendously sad otherwise.

Thank you. Like I said, I’m laughing at Trump who said everyone will be making money. Obviously the whole situation is absurd.

I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of them constantly posting all these gotcha memes from Musk’s own platform. It’s tiresome. It was mildly funny 8 years ago, right now the world is burning and apparently laughing at the arsons for wearing clown shoes is light relief and makes them look silly which is a huge win.

Lots of people who oppose Trump and Musk are on his platform. There are some good accounts on there who respond to all of the fake news being done. Yes the world is a shit show right now. It’s something we don’t have any control over. Countering fake news is.

I checked to see if it was near historic and it isn't.

Bad but it doesn't crack the top 30 list. Inflation of the market (in points) where 600 points in a day was a crisis (still not good at all) but that was against 10000 not so long ago and now it's 40000~

2% one day ~ would have to be 3-4 times that to hit the list.

The inflation is a bit mad. -8000 (15 years ago that would be nearly the entire index).
