Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Yeah, I pretty much give up this season already. Hoping for good summer review. Can't do any serious upgrading without ruining my club's finance

I just focus on scouting. Anything else is bonus
Scouting is the best part of the game. Remember doing it like a maniac back in college, would spend an hour every day on the game. Barely login once a day now :(

Just like your team would be pretty strong for Div 2? :D:(
I would be around the play offs spot in Div 2.

As Varun said, I am punching way above my weight in Div 1, and frankly have no business being in Div 1. It was the last match heroics of Silva and Martial that I got to Div 1 The only win that I have came against Forrest right after RS left them. Don't know if manager leaving midway played any part in that result, as my team should not be beating Forrest.

Meh! Serves you right. I had two disallowed goals in the final :( it's karma baby!

Silva and Martial are awesome. I remember posting a while back how many goals they were involved in at Bristol. Was always going to be tough with them both gone and playing against most teams with much stronger squads and Herrera.

So my Hereford side hasn't conceded a goal in 432mins but scored 14. #progress

Challenging fixture against Burnley away in the shield though. I'm playing my cup team which has an average rating of 73.

On the previous page I read about a gentleman's agreement when it comes to transfers. I didn't see anything about it in the OP, so let me know so I can abide by it :)

Main thing is to not let your squad exceed a certain number that @green_smiley will tell you when he comes on.

Players are reviewed based on their real life performances around twice a season. Next review is in a month or two for the "big five" leagues (England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy). People scout and sign players based on how they're doing in real life

A few things really, when you press the accept button on transfers (with managed clubs) then we think it's a bit shady to then change your mind (as the deal will be announced as accepted and you often get players going "you could have done better than that", "omg you're getting ripped off" etc etc).

Also we have a Financial Fair Play system that means that we all have a squad cap. Without checking, yours will be around 52 players. So make sure you have 50 or less players (this is done to prevent the top clubs with loads of money having 100+ player squads). It's balanced so the bigger clubs have less space while the small ones have more space.

Yeah, when you agree a transfer with someone make sure you go through with it really. If you're not sure before clicking the accept button feel free to ask advice from some people who don't have vested interest in the deal.

@Igor Drefljak, welcome! I am a new joinee myself. And also sorry, but I trashed your team in the previous game. So no hard feelings I hope.

@Ijazz17 - Don't worry. The revival is on.

A few questions just to get me started.

1. Do players have certain attributes, or is it basically a rating, position and preferred foot?

2. You say players get reviewed a few times a year. If I scout a player now, do I get an idea of roughly how good he will be in the next review?

3. How do I earn them yellow tokens to be able to scout (Also, where do I see how many I have as I cant see them for the life of me)

1. Basically rating and position, the devs in charge of SM don't seem to be big thinkers.
2. Yeah but scout by looking at players on soccerway and transfermarkt
3. The scout on SM is crap, don't use it

3:0 victory away to Fenerbahce.

Next up: Carlisle United at Old Trafford.

Lineup will be something like:

De Gea (93)

Roberto (89) Stones (89) Matip (89) Rodriguez (91)
Pogba (93) Eriksen (91)
Sterling (90) Son (90) Memphis (90)
Martial (89)

Ipswich are not active these 2 days, so I assume the team would be the same. Despite their condition are about 20 points worse, I still think Ipswich will win, which kind of sucks

New poll up.
I play him tonight. Quite the pressure playing against someone that hasn't scored a goal yet. I don't want to be the first to concede. Is this poll some elaborate jinx to make me lose against him? :wenger:

Ye, just joking. I know i'll concede, it's written in the dance with the stars.

Which team are you?

Tonight I play at home to Forest. The first game between the clubs post @RedSky. Forest are unbeaten in the last three meetings and that is expected to continue under well respected manager @The Taurean
Woo. Big match against Damo's United. On form, United are big favorites today.
As the manager says - We always go for the win though. It's where dreams are realized.
