I liked 3-5-2 as it gave me a 5 man midfield, and countered other teams using the 3-5-2...
I used to use the 3-4-1-2 religiously until everyone cottoned on that 3-5-2 was the go to formation for, you always get battered with any other formation going up against a 3-5-2...
Hopefully they've changed this now...
3-2-2-2-1 is the only comparable one...gives you 2 DM's and 2 AM's and 2 wingers...
New layout is worse than the current one, they don't give a shit about what the fans tell them, the rating system is terrible, the game itself has been wank for years. The whole thing is one broken mess and rather than fixing it, they're making it worse.
The only good thing thats come from this update imo are:
- Player values (but even thats broken because the SM Devs decide who are the best players and who aren't, see Memphis at 40m).
- Player positions (have got more accurate and therefore requires more thinking about which players to try and poach, but thats also broken because Soccerwiki are terrible at issuing player positions)

I think it's a bit harsh that AMRL players can't play as wingers in the 3-5-2, 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 etc formations. AM's shouldn't be able to play in CM though.

Yeah, Robben and Kagawa cant play there for me. Makes little sense.
Nothing wrong with that though I agree with the overall point. The likes of Valencia & Navas should be AM,M(R) but Robben should never be able to play in the Midfield line.
Robben plays pretty much everywhere for Bayern. In terms of depth of starting position.
His best is clearly in an advanced position though. Positions should be judged more strictly by SM imo. Far too many players can play all over the place
No arguments there but that isnt how it works on SM so why make it an exception for some? Clyne recently got the ability to play LB when it was probably him being that far out of position for 2 games

Faded ones are the backups for that position but can still play there with no yellow/red background.
And for the AM positions the 12 players mentioned can play in any of the three, so Pogba and Vidal could be RAM and LAM
