Gaming The SM RedCafe League

And so it's the final day of the league season.

In Division 1, there are five teams fighting for two CL spots.

Newcastle United v Ipswich Town
Nottingham Forest v Milton Keynes Dons
Stoke City v Chelsea
Manchester City v Arsenal

At this point I'd say I can't see Forest or Arsenal making it, however if Forest do beat MK Dons, things'll get very interesting.

Relegation battle:

Realistically, Blackburn aren't involved at all due to goal difference so it is a straight shootout between Villa and Ipswich.

Ipswich have been on a fantastic run of form, whereas Villa's form resembles what Spurs looks like when Big-Red is involved in the title race.

Everton v Blackburn Rovers
Queens Park Rangers v Aston Villa
Newcastle United v Ipswich Town

All three teams are away from home, and despite Ipswich having the hardest fixture by miles you can't rule anything out. Bad omen for Ipswich is that they haven't picked up a single point against the teams currently in the top four this season. Even if they go down, they've done a fantastic job to take this to the final day.

In Division 2, both the title and the race for automatic promotion goes into the final day. Incredible given that at one point Liverpool were storming the league but as it became populated by managers, their form nosedived.

Bristol City v Liverpool
Bolton Wanderers v West Ham United
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Millwall
Norwich City v Brighton and Hove Albion

Will be fascinating to see what happens. There might not be any surprises, but who knows with three teams facing unmanaged sides? Bristol v Liverpool is the big one in the division, and we'll all be wishing @Crackers' brother the best of luck.

In Division 3, we have one team looking to qualify for the playoffs. Best of luck to @berbasloth4

AFC Bournemouth v Huddersfield Town
Wigan Athletic v Charlton Athletic
Peterborough United v Bury
Preston North End
v Tranmere Rovers

Congrats to @green_smiley for winning Division 5, and to me for winning Division 1 in style. Good luck to everyone in your final game.

Don't you give me that sad face! I gave you an insane offer for Bernat which you turned down. /throws pie at Akash!

Rightly so! Bernat is going to be star for Blackburn. 50m or no deal.

Same for Fekir if MJJ pops up again!

None of my 90+ rated players are doing any good at their clubs in real life (which I assume is a factor on their performances). Except Courtois that is. Plus they all are 90-91 range with not much chance to grow as of now. The teams at top end have 93-94+ rated players who make difference. That said, my team should be doing better than 17th. I will get relegated today and then enjoy tension free life in division 2.

About time I did another one of these... thought it'd be interesting to record it in the middle of the rating review so i'll do another update when the last league has finished updating and we'll see how the table has changed! If your club isn't listed in the top 15... that's because you're not in the top 15...

Up/Down relates to the clubs position since the last update... not sure if that was made very clear?

So loss of Iturbe - -2
Hopeful gain of Martial (86 at a guess, if he doesn't get at least that I'll punch things) - 1.9

Karius - 22 Jun 1993

So i'll be losing 2 points if they aren't done by then.

Not sure if my 84/83/82's will get enough to reach 85. Perhaps Camarasa and N'Jie.

Rico is the only one who I think is going to rise for me, perhaps calhanoglu but not sure about him.

I've got a few in form players.

MARQUINHOS, Corrêa
LAPORTE, Aymeric + 1
GEIS, Johannes + 1
MENDY, Benjamin + 1
BITTENCOURT, Leonardo
VÍETTO, Luciano + 1
KARIUS, Loris
GÓMEZ, Moi
SANSON, Morgan + 1
ARNOLD, Maximilian + 1
JONNY, Castro + 1
SELKE, Davie + 1
BABA, Abdul Rahman + 2
WENDELL, Borges + 2
VELÁZQUEZ, Emiliano + 1

I imagine Marquinhos, Karius, Gomez and Bittencourt will remain. But the rest deserve a rating of at least a + 1. Baba and Wendell are nailed on at least + 2's.

Marquinhos :( should never have sold him.

Laporte and gets are going to be huge too. Wish United signs them both.

+2, +1, +1/2, +4, +2, +1 should probably be the rises from them

I think i'll get about 6.5/7.0 points from my listed players. Then perhaps 2 more points from players getting to 85.

So at most i'll get 8.5/9.0. You'll still be ahead. But I think the gap will be closed down to say 3.5/4.0 points.

How am I supposed to read this table? Is being 13th good or bad?

I do expect the likes of Moses, Cataldi, Sturaro, Sternberg, Stendera, Lopez etc.. to rise over 85 soon enough so I should rocket up that league sharpish.

Aye, it won't be too long before you start improving. In a seasons time a big chunk of my highly rated players will be 22 and i'll go down the table pretty sharpish.
