@MJJ Yes, that I agree with. I like damo's 10 player a season idea so a ban should come in if total squad hasnt reduced by 10 players end of this season, 20 End Of Next, etc till the 50 limit is complied with.
You have 3 on loan though, so I dunno if thats a loophole. Otherwise you have 35. Leave it be I think.
Thats counterproductive, if you want to go with 10 a season then you will have to enforce a transfer ban until the number of players is below the agreed amount. One season is more than enough time to get your squad to the required level.
feck 10 a season. Lets just do it for the start of next season. As for stafiums and squad restrictions.

I think the increments should be of 10 players instead of five, but dont mind if we implement that either.
Up all by 5 and I agree - not that those with stadia of 10-20k would be able to really have that many players realistically.
As for why 10 a season was suggested, the AI has been dodgy with transferlisted players. I've had Promes on the list for a few weeks now and he's still not got a bid. With other teams selling players too it just isn't feasible to get rid of up to 30 in the space of a season when others are looking to do the same.
I've managed to sell every player that i've put on the transfer list pretty quickly (4). I don't think it's an issue, 10 is far to low.

You're not getting bids on Promes because you've listed him as Part Exchange Only Damien and External clubs won't do that.
That seems reasonable. Frees up lot of players for lower teams to develop and cash on.

Add on the transfer you have accepted brings yours up 1. That means 135 players will be sold under these restrictions.
I might not get the player. Looks more likely to go to Darlington, but if I do get him, then that is 34.
Also there's a bit of a problem in that a few of the players I wish to sell are at managed clubs. Will sell them once their current club has no need for them anymore.

I assume we'll all agree that normal transfer activity can take place. Just so long as you get your squad down to the requirements for next seasons opening game. If you don't, a transfer ban will be put in place for said club (will be taken off once they get down to the squad requirment). We all agreed that's fair?
Aye. Like I said in my club statement though, I won't be buying any more players. I doubt I'll be at 45 before next season's opening game, but I'll do what I can.
If its a 1 season limit to get the squad trimmed, keep the cap at 50. 45 is too low considering squads like mine which are full of long term risers And the current review system. i'L be lucky to get half of them reviewed so cant be making losses on too many.

fwiw, you guys are moaning and yet this actually hampers me the most out of all the teams. Varun, your stadium is double the size of mine, Damien yours is even larger. You revenue shits all over mine by some distance. The only advantage I have is being able to sign 5 more players (which isn't a great deal, but I think it's fair).

I wont. Look at how many i have rated in the 70s or early 80s. And that was when me, you and ben fought.for pretty much every player. Add 2 seasons of wages to the Fee then.
I'm not even moaning! Mine has been the only club to make a statement on this and have been fully in support of a suqad cap, just that it'd be a bit better for it to be 50 than 45. Our revenue isn't as good as you think it is.
Then you could sell the players you have made a good profit and keep the long term prospects. Or you could mix it.
The majority of the players i've signed recently are long term prospects as well, so i'll be making a loss on those too.
Its not about.manning up or moaning Phil. I made an investment and I want to get some return on it to make it Worth the effort. I'm agreeing to sell around 35 players in 1 season for the benefit of everyone.
It affects us all mate, just on a slightly smaller scale. I wont be making a profit either on the lads I will have to sell. If anything, waiting for them to rise any bit and future moneys you pay them for wages, it will prob balance out anyways unless they magically bump +10
As am I and you have the far better club. So it's more of a disadvantage to me than it is to you. you have the 2nd highest squad value in the game, United has the 1st highest squad value in the game. You both have the best stadiums in the game. What more do you want?
