Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Decent win for me, although I expected a win against unmanaged coventry. Up 2 places to 6th and a nice gap to 11th place developing.

won in draft league too to stay top.

I drew 4-4 with them couple of rounds back with them scoring 2 late goals :(

Anyways, solid 6-0 win vs Boro. Only drawback is an injury to Ibra but squad should cope.

Ogbonna up to 88 and signed Jan Kirchhoff from Darlington. Today has been a good day.

UPDATED

In terms of real life transfers for my players:
  • Isco has gone to Real Madrid from Malaga
  • Digne has gone to PSG from Lille
  • Aurier has been linked with a move to Arsenal from Toulouse (and has posted a picture on Twitter of him in an Arsenal shirt, so looks like he wants to go there)
  • Eriksen has been linked to Liverpool
  • McCarthy has been linked to Spurs and Everton
  • Bale has been linked heavily to Real Madrid
From my youth players:
Since my last update:
  • Digne has gone to PSG
  • Jedvaj has gone to Roma
  • Rekik to PSV on loan
  • Milanov has gone to CSKA Moscow
  • Ezekiel has decided to stay at Liege
  • Stepinski to Nuremburg (did happen in June but only saw it now)
  • Capello has gone to Inter
Jedvaj to Roma should hopefully be a good place for him to go after what has happened with Marquinhos.

United make a shock double swoop

Manchester United are delighted to announce the signings of Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos on a four-year deal and England midfielder Michael Carrick on a two-year deal.

The latter transfer is sure to shock, and goes against United's dominant strategy of signing youth and players aged 24 and under (with the exception of Michu).

"Earlier in the season, I mentioned that I had two transfers planned," explained manager Damien, "these two players were Ilkay Gundogan and Kyriakos Papadopoulos. We missed out on Gundogan but we feel that the signing of Carrick is a much better deal for us as a club. Instead of forking out over £60m on Gundogan and Papa, we've 'only' spent £32m on Carrick and Papa. We've got a lot of young midfielders who aren't yet ready for the first team - such as Pogba, Milanov, Vilhena, Gomes and Goretzka - but should be ready in the next few seasons, so signing Carrick for the short term was a no brainer for us.

"Michael will be here for at least the next two and a half seasons. He will be a starter for us and we hope that while he is here we can win at least one trophy, and when we do eventually sell him, we should be able to recoup most of the transfer fee."

Both Carrick and Papadopoulos are expected to make their debuts for the club on Thursday against Coventry City.

Manchester United's current first team squad:

Goalkeepers

de Gea (90)

Defenders

Sandro (89)
Digne (87)

Vidic (95)
Ramos (95)
Papadopoulos (89)
Reyes (87)

Rafael (90)
Aurier (87)

Midfielders

Ozil (94)
Gotze (93)
Bale (93)
Isco (90)

Carrick (92)
Bender (90)
Eriksen (90)
McCarthy (88)
Pogba (87)

Forwards

Messi (99)
van Persie (95)
Balotelli (91)
Michu (89)

Big game for me against Bolton tonight. Really need a win but the fitness of my players are messed up, plus I've got one eye on the Shield game on Tuesday which I'll probably end up losing.

Reinartz sent off in his debut, still beat Coventry 2-1 though.

Excellent - beat Bolton 3-1 and Forest beat City! So I'm up to second, Forest is third and both of us are one point behind City now.

Next up: West Brom in the Shield.

Pleased to announce the signing of Amin Younes from West Brom. Fantastic talent.

Digne up to 88. Not much of a rise but I suppose he was last reviewed in April.

Pogba should hopefully be getting a similar rise. He was last reviewed in March and played a lot in the U20 World Cup like Digne did (I think).

Aston Villa have shocked the world of football this morning with the sale of Juan Mata back to Chelsea. A hugely generous bid of £15,000,000 plus highly rated prospects Lukaku & Courtois could not be turned down.

Also got the following players for sale:

Roman Wiedenfeller - GK - 91 - £12,000,000
Cristian Ansaldi - LB/RB - 89 - £8,000,000

Loan:

Rafael - GK - 88

Wow.

SM are transfer muppets. Anyone that moves is getting a rise. Exact same when Roma signed Tedvaj (if I spelt your players ham right). He went up the day after transfer was confirmed.

Jedvaj.

Yep. Still quite a few of my players who've moved who haven't risen yet. I think it's more to do with that if a player is edited on Soccerwiki, there's a chance they get their rating reviewed (hence why you see a lot of players suddenly changing positions as it is due to someone wanting to try and get the player reviewed).

I've had no transfers in my ranks...the useless gits. Well Amat and Icardi alright, but they will prob need a few decent performances beforehand.

I've had one or two - and the two I thought were most likely to move (Eriksen and McCarthy) are still with their clubs at the moment. Those two and Zouma should be moving before the end of the transfer window.
