Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Got a difficult game away to West Bromwich Albion, a win with other favourable results and I can get back in the top 4. A loss an I could drop as low as 9th.
 
Tough game away to Portsmouth for me. They're 18th in the league but I've got one eye on Sunday's game against Forest and only earned 1 point from 6 against 20th placed Barnsley so anything could happen.

I have both eyes on mugging Derby tonight (which even though i'm at home i'm not confident about).

The side I've put out against Portsmouth should be good enough to do the job but it'll be close. Most of the team I'm fielding will play against you but there are a few players who seem to be sapped of the most energy and don't recover 100% in the Thursday-Sunday gap so I'm giving them a bit of a rest and perhaps put one or two of them on in the last half hour to give them a bit of playing time while at the same time not sapping them of too much energy.
 
If I make a transfer bid for a player, and it says the bid is accepted and will be completed within 24 hours, can I still pull out until the player actually joins my squad?
 
Yes, it should still come up with 'Cancel deal' or whatever it is when you click on the player's profile.
 
Yep, just checked on a player I've had a bid accepted on. Still gives me the option to cancel the deal.
 
Home to Spurs then away to Chelsea; two wins puts me back in the title race.

Two losses could put me as low as 9th.

Who owns this game world?

If I'm going to have an impact straight away, I need to get in and tinker with my squad, sell on my dead wood, and get some proven talent in at Wigan...

Dave Whelan has already promised me a hefty war chest to improve the squad...

what's it like signing players? Is everyone after stupid deals like other game worlds I'm in? Like I want to sign an 86 rated youngster with potential, and they're after like £20m for him, or one of my proven players?

Is there much scope to sign anyone rated above 90 or is it a make do with buying prospects and hoping they get rises kind of league?

This league isn't so bad, the Elite League is terrible. Omar trying to swap 90 rated 34 year old players for 90 ated 21 year old players, and asking 15m for 89 rated 34 year old players but only wanting to pay less than market value for 89 rated 19year old players.
 
maniak runs it, he'll be on eventually. A lot of 90 players around in foreign leagues because people traded them off for others I think.
 
If I ever get accepted into the league that is...

How far are we into the season, and how many seasons have there been?

External clubs you mean or just umanaged? I'm just thinking of Part Exchange potential...

External clubs. There's a gentlemans agreement not to purchase from unmanaged teams...I think that's been established anyway.

OK, so I just swap Kaká, Vermaelen, Lúcio and Sagna for Pique and Chiellini.

94 - 91 - 92 - 92 for 95 - 94 my 94 is Kaká that will go down.

My defence will be:

Hart 92
Lahm 94
Pique 95
Koscielny 90 / Song 91
Chiellini 94

This season I have conceded loads of goals and drew many matches because of that, I hope these deals correct that.

For the midfield/attack I still have van Persie, Robben, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso, Wilshere, Ramsey and Chamberlain who will probably rise in the next update.

Maybe I'll splash all my summer cash on a winger (if someone is interested in selling obviously) and that'll be my team. Or I'll just stick with 91 rated Arshavin who will return from loan and go for a better CB.

Young players on the rise, like, Munoz, Wijnaldum, Schennikov, Szczesny, Varane, Gibbs, Draxler, Coquelin, etc, will be my back up players.
 
feck me, I've given myself an uphill battle here...

I've got feck all to play with cash wise (fecking Dave Whelan the lying cnut) and I can't even sell anyone because I've only got 21 players, plus the players I do have that I want rid of aren't worth enough to get in some better players...

I think this season is a write off, and I'd be better off rebuilding from the ground up and making a play for promotion next year...who was the original manager, as he was fecking shite...

Nice XI but can you compete on all fronts when the fatigue and injuries come next season?
 
Tosic has managed 13 goals and 7 assists for me despite being rated 88. All logic suggests I keep him, but swapping him for a 90 rated winger is so tempting.
 
Can't wait for all three important games today. I'm really impatient.

Probably not, but this season I was out of the title race too early and I don't want that to happen again, even if I have to sacrifice all the cups.

However, my reserves team will be similar to this season and I got to a cup final, so anything's possible.
