It was a fair deal. I gave him Giovinco & sent back a player on loan who he in turn used to fund a transfer, so it works for us both. Giovinco can also play ST or just behind, whereas Sturridge is wings + CF.

It's possible to choose "undisclosed fee" when you're bidding for a player, so the opposition wont know how much you've bid for a player.if you dont use "undisclosed fees", then that is just daft to start with!
