Gaming The SM RedCafe League

He played for Brazilian NT just now.

Sweet, good news that. Especially as Bernard will go down the pecking order for his club last time I checked. They signed an experienced CM, but I cant remember his name.

also.......Tony V, welcome to Gerodie-town

Beat manager-less Barnsley 3-1. Happy with that after playing with 10 men for 53 minutes.

Same amount on target though tbf.

I wouldn't take Nasri even if it was on a free

I'm a bit surprised I was the only one in for Nasri.

Thought about it, but a bit on the expensive side. Would have cost me for example 10mill plus Doumbia, and I would have had feck all cash left for a player I'll bid on shortly. So saved a nice chunk of cash by going for Valencia instead. couldnt afford to p/x any other player. Good signing for the scouse indeed though.

Question about multiple teams bidding on the same player:

Does this game have a set timescale for bids to be accepted/rejected from the first bid going in, or is it from the time the last bid goes in?

Nevermind, he just withdrew three separate bids. I guess the angry smiley scared him off.

No not the scary smiley, the winger was the only player you had actually bid on. I was first to bid on the two of the others.

But on the CM I've pulled out on, you and two others are bidding. One whose offer I don't feel I'll be beating so, I'll bid on someone else.

The CB well I've since had bid's accepted for Sergio Sanchez and good old P.Neville.

It is the time the first bid goes in. So if I bid for say Luke Chadwick, and you came in and made a bid say 12 hours later, both bids would be accepted 24 hours after my bid. I'm not sure what happens if people withdraw bids to re-raise and all that, seems to add a few hours to it.

Ahhh!!! Stuck on whether to go for X or Y player. One is rated a point higher than the other, but hasnt played as well as the other in real life, and has been injured a fair bit. Decisions, decisions...

When is the next update?

depends on what league he plays in. Think the top leagues (Spain, Engerrrrland, Italy etc) get done 2 or 3 times a year....I think.

Not funny and to think I loaned you Nuno Coelho my superstar 84 CM.

I cancelled that the other day, thinking I might get Varane from Arse, but I didnt. Any chance of getting him back for a week or two?:D

Say I bid for Messi, offering Bebe in exchange. 10 minutes later, I bid for Ronaldo, again offering Bebe. There are numerous parties bidding for both players. What happens if both of my bids are successful?

I assume since the Messi bid was submitted first, that deal will go though and the Ronaldo deal will automatically be voided due to there being no Bebe. Correct?

That's right, and I believe that if one bid is accepted, the other would automatically fall through anyway and wouldn't even make it to the 'bid accepted' stage. Birmingham were in a similar position with Hargreaves. Used him to bid on two players and didn't get either.

I think thats how it works, yeah.

Playing TR's Everton tonight. Similarly balanced teams rating wise, but TR has good tactical awarness, where I'm still a bit shit! Dream world would be for my first home league win (what a record  ) tonight, with Villa and Bolton dropping points! In the next 4 games, realistically I need to win atleast 2 of those to get back into the challenge of staying up, and it can be done I think provided I have no more injuries. After that I'm playing Citeh and Scousepool and expect 2 losses there.

If you go down with your squad it will be a travesty!

Defo  I cocked up with my transfers at the start, worried too much about possible youth talents than building a balanced squad. I have adjusted it a good bit now with Dzeko and Valencia coming in, better firepower to score goals as it has being a real struggle in that department.

Your squad is very similar to mine in quality and age. I did the same thing though, spent a fair whack on young prospects and left myself a bit short. I've pretty much done with buying youth and am know looking at players for the first team and bench.

Same here now. Working on 2 more players coming in that will be involved with my first team and give me good options. Sorry to anyone who keeps seeing bids withdrawn and re-bidded, just trying to work out what is the best way to make a bid for a player and have enough left to go for another player. Selling Sahko might have being the best thing I've done all season!
