Gaming The SM RedCafe League

So Chelsea are well and truly out the title race then and United have been shite since the moment Zarlak took over. Easy pickings.

:( I'm not even at a computer to change things again until Sunday evening.

Damien, I do both those things! I'll change it up when I get back...

Yep I noticed. Your squad will be ok, it's just that at the moment most of them are burnt out due to running a lot at fast tempo. Your defenders are some of the worst effected which isn't surprising given they're over 30 and you played all four of Terry, Samuel, Maxwell and Puyol on the Sunday and the Tuesday with Maxwell and Puyol running up the wings and all of them moving at fast tempo. It's too much for them - and they all played 90 minutes in both matches. Change things around a bit (you've got enough defenders to afford to now) and make a sub in defence around the hour mark or whenever and you should be fine.

Both Cup and Shield matches attribute to decrease in condition and you played the same team against Fulham that you did against Sunderland. It's no mystery why your squad is suddenly in as bad a condition as it is at the moment but now you've recalled some players and have a larger squad to choose from, as long as you rotate you should be fine.

I've challenged to you another friendly, Damo. Shall we play the exact same tactics and team lineups and see if the result is any different? Would be interesting to see.

Lost 4-2 vs Sunderland, Ironic as it was the first match I have had almost a proper first team in ages!

Fantastic help, cheers. I won't be calling back Cahill just yet because when people are fit he won't be needed anyway, but beware that I probably will need him at some point.

When I have more time I'll look into creating a tactic that's better for fitness.

Cider, I've beaten you once already this season, and fairly comprehensively. I've clearly proven that in a direct contest, I'm the better manager. Shall we leave it there? :)

We'll leave it here instead, Urbanned; according to the game I am the greatest manager of all time. You've got to just deal with that, a difficult thing to do I'm sure whilst you slip further and further down the league, but still, my being the greatest manager of all time is just something you've got to come to terms with.

Your squad is fecked, and you're not recalling Cahill?? Are you insane man?!

You won't need De Bruyne back, will you? :nervous: He's my top goalscorer so far.

You are certainly an online version of Mourinho.

Alright, good luck with your squad. Like I said you should be ok but the next couple of games will be a bit difficult.

Now his squad is a bit larger than it was before he should be ok but when he wants to recall Cahill I'll be fine with that. Torsiglieri has gone up 1 in the Ukraine update but I won't be able to bolster the centre of my defence until the end of the month.

It's a shame the Porto manager isn't playing Iturbe. An update for him would do very nicely for me but it's not going to happen.

You are certainly an online version of Mourinho.

That's an insult to Mourinho. Cider is 100 times worse.

Take him!

Come on Urbanned, don't be mad and loan away your quality squad backups and pay the penalty in your hunt for not only the League but also the Cups! :p  :D

Stop concerning yourselves with the leagues top 2! You should be wishing I beat your mid table companions. ;)

I'm trying not to recall any domestic loaned players until I really HAVE to, mainly because I know they're needed in your squads. I might need Cahill, I might need De Bruyne, all depends. I'll see how I do in these 2 games with Arsenal (friendly and league) and the first few games of the new tactic. If things don't improve, I'll have them.

Completely disregard the beating my team gave yours? Yeah, that's the way to prove you're better.

I have an 85 rated gk for loan, I'm sure somebody can use him...

Damien, are you sure fast tempo and the directional arrows take away from fitness? I've been on fast tempo and had those arrows since I took over Preston and I haven't had that many problems with player fitness.

Yeah. From what I see you use 3 arrows and some of the older players with the arrows (mainly Malbranque and Taddei) I see you substitute quite often (at least in your recent games anyway). Doing that is fine and you do rotate a bit with a decent sized squad. Urbanned's squad size was just 22 and he's been using 5 arrows on players that aren't subbed and are fairly old.

Ah fair enough, I wasn't sure if the game was complicated enough to take that kind of stuff into account.

From what I've tried, arrows aren't really that effective and only diminish fitness faster than usual.

So, Cider...still no info on why you took back Henriksen? Manager to manager communication is integral, especially when Crystal Palace has 2 of England's up and coming talents.

Deplorable behaviour from someone who has a go at other teams for doing short term loans. And it's not just the fact he terminated the loan early, he didn't even have the courtesy to give you a warning in advance notifying you as to why he has ended it. Disgusting.

In other news the loan deal for Planas between Leeds and Coventry has been accepted and the terms for it have been established and agreed by both sides. We wish the player and the club success and hopefully he can help turn their fortunes around in the time that he is there for.

Henriksen was on a three month loan contract at Crystal Palace, with this term competed the player has returned to Manchester.

A weird three months. Henriksen's first appearance for Crystal Palace was on the 22nd March so there's still a few weeks left to go. Of course, from BR's reaction the three months is something you've just made up and didn't even tell Palace about before the deal was made.

He obviously didn't. I say that no-one should do any deals with Man City in future - if we buy up all of the talent in foreign clubs he won't be able to improve his squad if we refuse to sell to him.

Three game months, you tit, not three actual months.

If Palace's chairman neglected to inform the manager of the full terms and conditions of the loan then I'll not be held accountable; it's not my responsibility to ensure that Crystal Palace's manager knows his shit.

Good plan.

Step 1. Buy all the talent
Step 2. Win

You're a fecking genius.

No, my main plan isn't that simple. It also involves slowly ruining any chance you and your inferior squad have of ever winning anything, eventually seeing you finish lower in the table than Zarlak's Manchester United team, which would ultimately be a win in itself.

Oh how I will laugh when I finish higher than you this season. :D

It's good that you're able to laugh at your delusions.

Been about 26/27 hours since I put a bid in for a player. How come I haven't got a response yet whether it's been rejected or not?
