Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Get in! I'm up at 4th place in the new league table. Suck it bitches, Swansea is going to win the CL next year!

My attack is now

Valencia(91)--------Fletcher(91)--------------Nani(93)
-----------------------------------------------------
-------------------Sneijder(95))----------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
----------Messi(99)------------Berbatov(92))------------

I'm bringing it.

That's nothing. This is bringing it:

----Busquets (94) -- Y.Toure (93) ----

Silva (94) -- Aguero (94) -- Balotelli (90)

----------- C.Ronaldo (98) -----------

How long does it take to hear back from an offer to a CPU team?

I may be wrong, but I think offering players as part-ex reduces their value somewhat.

I've offered James Milner and Barry to a few clubs now and both their values in the game have dropped considerably.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Can anyone shed any light oin this?

Since I've been trying to shift Milner and Barry in a few deals their value has dropped from £11m to £7m and £7m to £5m respectively.

Cheers.

I can feel myself morphing into 'Arry already.

I think the first question you need to ask is how Milner and Barry ever were valued at £11m and £7m.

I haven't noticed it. Other clubs presidents normally value my players below their real value, but the value itself doesn't change.

Yeah I don't mean that, I mean their actual value has dropped.

well after reading their forum I think that when you buy a star player, some players in the team can drop in value because they are not considered star players anymore.

The same way if you sell your star player, other players value might increase.

It can also change during the season depending on appearances.

After checking my squad I think that after I bought Fabregas and Xabi Alonso, Arteta, Diaby and Ramsey all dropped in value, although I'm not 100% sure.

Anyone else who bought star players noticed this?

Ok, yeah, that's what's happened then. It kinda makes sense I suppose.

How do you gauge who takes free kicks etc... there are no visible stats?

It annoying, isn't it? You could say use your real world knowledge, but what happens a few seasons down the line when the game can no longer reflect the real footballing world.

Somebody mentioned earlie in the thread that players ratings rise in tandem with their real world form, but that just doesn't make sense in a fantasy game that's moving along at one match per day; for example, in ten years time (in-game) how could the players ratings be at all based on their real world form? And how are we supposed to know who are the good young players if they've all been invented by the game? How will we know who to make captain if there's no stats?

Ok no problem.

Who is Birmingham? Twice has tried to hijack my potential deals, the cnut :D

Just got this response from a helpful noob who I've forgotten the name of already:

Players' rating is based on his real life performance or overall appearances.
Each League is reviewed every six month and based on those six months' performance, players' rating either rise or drop.

say Kaka, His rating will drop in April or May when Spanish league will be reviewed.

How do you know which young player is invented by the game?
Whenever a young player completes at least 45mins(not sure), Sm adds them in new player section(game world-> player database).

Say Pogba, we was added to SM when he appeared for United in Carling cup earlier this season.

ten years in game doesn't add to the age of the player. A player aged 24 at start of season 1 will remain 24 even if season 2 starts, because it follows real world calender.

Just take it as half season, rather than full real life season.

Have a few players loan/transfer listed at Newcastle. Feel free to have a look, or bid on players not in my starting 11....excluding tiote and santon :)

I'd consider 'Telli for Mata.

Pfft yeah, because I'd swap a 92 for a 90

Kalou and Ballotelli are the same rating. You'd be getting a dedicated worker who's loyal to his team. I'd be getting an absolute nutcase who likes to throw darts at the youth team.

That's fine with me though, my youth team players are shit. He can throw a grenade at them if he wants.

The rating isn't the be-all-and-end-all; I'd consider a straight swap Balotelli for Mata, I didn't say I'd do it - I think I may be losing out on that one but I'm interested in signing a Winger.

I'm going to have an epic line up this season when I'm finished. I'm probably going to severely gimp myself for next season. 3 big names I'm trying to get in. 5 United players will still be in my starting XI and a few more on the bench.

Redsky - Malouda is a back up winger for me at the moment, but I can't accept 5.3m for him... he's still a very good player! You can have him, but only for a better offer than that.

No-ones having Lukaku either. He's the only back-up striker I have!

I've played this game for a while - Kalou for Balotelli is much fairer than Mata for Balotelli.

Add in a decent chunk of money for Mata and you may have me interested.
