Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Are you sure?
Yeah I don’t think he’s lying about wanting to do the division 5 challenge and his squad will be more fun to draft then mine.

Anyone who did vote for me genuine thanks I really wanted the job until Rav mentioned he wanted to Div 5.

Okay then, congrats @Ravelation. The job is yours

@Damien out of interest what were the current votes at?
They were tied with Herrera the only one left to vote but he hadn't been on in a few days. Easily the closest vote in the history of the league.

Wow did not think for one second I’d get more than a few votes. Thanks guys genuinely touched by that.

We offering Darlington to another manager or drafting?

It’s a decent club for someone newer to take on and would be a shame to draft it.

Yeah it'll be likely going to someone within the league. Once Rav goes to Arsenal we'll start the process all over again with Darlington.

Jesus that's incredibly close, the fact it came down to the last one, not going to lie I kinda expected benito to win this one..

Thanks benito and yeah 3 and a half seasons then div 5 is the plan

Also thanks to everyone that voted, and good luck to whoever takes Darlington, it honestly hurts to leave Darlington and all those gems.

Congratulations Rav. Good luck with your title push

Anyone interested in managing Darlington has until Tuesday 8pm to message me including a bit of text saying why they want it in case of multiple applicants. Darlington's bank balance is approx £20M

See! All those suspensions of late, and I'm literally the only manager who doesn't benefit from sendings off. Everyone else has a player sent off and wins by a goal or two, I have a player sent off and always either lose or draw.

The Division 2 automatic promotion race

Unmanaged teams facing in last 9 games:

Kidderminster - 3
Hereford - 4
Newcastle - 2
Gillingham - 4

H2Hs left:
MD30: Kidderminster v Gillingham
MD33: Hereford v Kidderminster
MD38: Gillingham v Hereford

Newcastle have the fewest unmanaged games left but they also have no head to heads left whereas the others have two.

If I were to wager, I'd say @CrackersJr will finish top with the other automatic coming down to head to heads.

Record tables

Records Everton are chasing this season with 9 games to go:
Goals Scored - currently on 67, need 15 more to make the top 10 and just 44 more to set a league record
Goals Conceded - currently on 20, need to concede 13 or less to make the top 10 and just need to concede 9 or less to set a league record (VERY likely)
Wins - currently on 22, need to win 4 more to make the top 10 and win all 9 to be joint first
Losses - currently on 2, need to lose 3 or less to make the top 10 and not lose any at all to set a league record
Points - currently on 71, need 14 more to make the top 10 and just 26 to set a league record
Goal Difference - currently on 47, need to keep it at 45+ to make the top 10 and just 30 more to set a league record

Interesting. Checked season 18 when i only lost 3. Of course it was MG who won with Darlington that season. He had +5 goal difference on me where we both had 87 points. Thanks for that reminder, Damo

Southend United joins the "one major trophy which is the Cup" club which now has eight members.

And a new table for something that MG can't break until late 2022/early 2023 at the earliest - Consecutive trophy winning streaks

9mGKYRG.png

Purple = run ongoing. If I don't win the Champions Cup this season (spoiler: I won't) my run ends. Still annoyed about that Super Cup result.
