Probably won't get any game time
That for me is a really disappointing move from Til. He's a decent young player but Russia isn't exactly where talent goes to develop.Hereford real life transfers (Summer 2019)
Done deals
- Guus Til (21/85) - AZ Alkmaar to Spartak Moskva
Guus moving to Spartak, which isn't too bad given their club cap is 88. He can still move up a bit in rating there.
Nice read!Having narrowly missed out on promotion last season Cardiff City have been busy working behind the scenes to improve their chances of a return to the top flight. With the Bluebirds currently perched near the top of the table manager Benito Compello has tweaked the squad and given us an insight into his transfer philosophy.
Cardiff City - Transfer News
With Kepa on the way out it made sense to invest in some GK options. Sivera and Bijlow are both promising young GKs with Sivera playing for the Spanish U21s recently and Bijlow getting regular gametime for Feyenoord. Lecomte has had a very good season with Montpellier and was a stop gap option in case I sold Kepa for two outfielders.
Transfer Ins
GK Antonio Sivera Age 22 Rating 82 - Fee £2.0m From Deportivo Alavés
GK Justin Bijlow Age 21 Rating 83 - Fee £3.0m From Feyenoord
GK Benjamin Lecomte Age 28 Rating 89 - Fee £7.8m From Montpellier HSC
RB Reggie Cannon Age 21 Rating 82 - Fee £2.0m From FC Dallas
CB Ezri Konsa Age 21 Rating 82 - Fee £1.8m From Brentford
DM Teun Koopmeiners Age 21 Rating 85 - Fee £5.9m From AZ Alkmaar
CM Ronaldo Viera Age 21 Rating 82 - Fee £3.9m From Sampdoria
AM Mesut Özil Age 30 Rating 91 - Fee £26.2m From Leipzig
RW Dodi Lukebakio Age 21 Rating 86 - Fee £11.9m From Watford
Defensively I had a good mix of players at CB but adding Konsa, an England U21, made sense. He's getting regular football and I'd hope he can have a similar season to Tomori and Tuanzebe and develop further. Cannon is someone I've scouted as I believe he's got all the attributes needed to play PL football one day. It's a slight risk but the low fee is worth it.
Midfield I am already well stocked with young talent but it never hurts to take a few risks. Viera is certainly one of those who could go either way but I'm most pleased with Koopmeiners. U21 Captain for a while and an intelligent and solid player. I can really see him pushing on this season even further. Ozil for me was a big fee and risk but with Pepe, Lacazette and Aubameyang at Arsenal, if he stays, he'll get assists!
Lukebakio was recently described as the most difficult wide player to play against in the Bundesliga due to his physical ability and unpredictability and is the only player since 2001 to score a hatrick against Bayern Munich and the only player to get 3 past Neuer! Definitely one to watch!
Transfer Outs
GK Kepa Arrizabalaga Age 24 Rating 91 - Fee GK Manuel Neuer Age 33 Rating 93 and AM Lorenzo Pellegrini Age 23 Rating 90 To Manchester City
CM Caio Henrique Age 22 Rating 82 - Fee £2.2m To Atlético Madrid
LW Luka Adzic Age 20 Rating 80 - Fee £1.5m To RSC Anderlecht
CF Andrea Petagna Age 24 Rating 88 - Fee £9.4m To SPAL
CF Divock Origi Age 24 Rating 29 - Fee £22m To Charlton Athletic
The sale of Kepa has been long coming. Manchester City had previously offered Neuer and Paredes, then Pellegrini only to eventually pull out of a deal. Many other clubs were offering players for him with Middlesbrough very close to signing him. Fast forward a few weeks and an offer of £18.5m Neuer and Fraser was sent. I was very close to accepting this as I'm a fan of Fraser but I felt the original Pellegrini offer was better and pushed for it. Man City walked away only to then re-offer later that evening having secured Eggestein! Transfer saga over! I'm delighted to get a replacement GK who is rated better than Kepa and at 33 years old Neuer still I feel has 2 years minimum as Bayern's first choice GK which gives my youth players time to catch up or at the very least me a GK of equal ability to Kepa for long enough to not worry. Adding Pellegrini meant that I had a very talented Italian international of a very good age which potentially opens me up for more deals... anyone fancy Aouar or Rodri
Henrique for me was a no brainer sale. He's stalled. Adzic looks ok but took up a place I wanted free. Petagna well he didn't get a rise and so was of no use to me.
Origi for me I think has peaked. I don't think he deserved his 89 rating in the first place and I don't see how he'll adapt his game to suit Liverpool. Klopp came out and said he looks a lot better but I'm trusting my instincts on this one. He won't go beyond 89 now not at Liverpool at least. He's a really good striker but I think he's peaked SM wise. £22m was a good fee for him and Charlton have a very good young striker on their books now.
That for me is a really disappointing move from Til. He's a decent young player but Russia isn't exactly where talent goes to develop.
ouchBtw, i played Audero as it was an AI team and got KOd of the cup on pens. Check the stats
Was going to complain about the teams above not dropping points but United loanee Enes Ünal helped Leeds get a point!
