Tonight it's a third v first Manchester Derby as United visit the Etihad. With United having no Kroos and City being at home, the team in blue are surely favourites.

Another talking point is Mbappe is set to lead the line against the manager he scored 53 goals and assisted 66 times for in just 94 league appearances. Mbappe is also currently United's top scorer this season with 12 goals and 9 assists in just 17 games

The stats were even but an 89th minute Mbappe goal saw the visitors emerge triumphant 2:1 over hosts City. However, there were many casualties with Griezmann picking up a hefty injury while both centrebacks miss the loss to Darlington on Sunday.

Another first v third game tonight - just one match after the last one. With United having no Kroos, Griezmann, Ramos or Boateng (their four highest rated outfield players), Darlington are clear favourites to close the gap at the top to just one point.
 
Lost 3:1, unsurprisingly. Had no player higher than 83 rated to choose from whereas they had five. Weird thing is, despite the margin of defeat, one of my attackers was voted MOTM.

Was a shame to see City go but I've had a mental summer and wasn't able to give Sm (or the Caf) any time at all. Think I lost all three of my clubs on there as I didn't get chance to log in for a good 2 months which was annoying. Pleased to see @gaz1185 get the job though, I remember him wanting it over 5 years ago when I got it. :)

Shouldn't placing the bid itself call for the ban? The rule says any bid "made" triggers it, doesn't matter whether the guy withdraws it later or not.

"For teams with squads below the FFP, any bid made on a player shall be assumed to be won by the team bidding, and included in determining your squad limit for FFP."

The rule was created to stop managers from playing the odds and thus reducing other peoples chances of getting a player. If he withdraws before the transfer is completed everything is fine.
