How so? I believe them to be hyped, it's just my opinion, others are saying U2 (oh and RHCP!) who have had some great music down the years and certainly done more than the monkeys have (and probably ever will) but I don't go around chasing them with a beating stick!

Discussing music and slating other peoples opinions is a bit stupid. There's no factually good or bad bands, music is based purely on opinion.
In theory that makes sense, in practice it is bollocks. All modern art forms like music, tv and film have passive and passionate followers. For example, who would you take tv recommendations from - someone who is passive and just watches BBC1 and ITV and whose drama favourites are Ashes to Ashes, DR Who and Ultimate Force - or someone who is more passionate about watching quality television and would list The Wire, The Shield and The Sopranos as his or her favourites. If someone is passionate about an artform they try and discover new and exciting bands, films, programmes and basically have a wider range of experience than your typical, average type of person who worships Coldplay and thinks The Shawshank Redemption is the greatest film of all time.

I've always thought Queen were overrated myself, aside from Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now and We Are The Champions the rest of their stuff is pretty average.
