I, on the other hand, wanted to get involved in these drafts but didn't really have the time for them and wasn't draft-savvy enough to really do well in them. Having a mentor helps me out with the exposure to the drafting game, particularly as my football knowledge is limited to 1999 onwards.

I called it several pages ago, it was clear as daylight NM had got Carlos Alberto, Balu even toold me off for making it obvious but you were too worried about harms being in "your game".

The silver-lining is the Evil Gods have overruled Djemba-Djemba, too similar to Desailly apparently (I found that racist, if anything). So you won't be missing Costacurta as you now have Andranik Eskandarian, who has been in the sheep list since I noticed how many cards he picked at WC 78.

No, I know about many of Stobz's picks. What I meant was that I've never seen them in full matches live. Of course, I've read up on them and watched their highlights, but I've never seen full matches of the past teams. I've only seen full matches since the age of 6 from 1999 onwards.

You are a lucky man @harms, I thought Cabrini was gone in MDFC's first round feckup (Cabrini - Laudrup - Koeman).

I thought so too, earlier, but when I've done my extensive research, I decided that he is much more likely to go for Van Basten's partners, considering that he has him in the team and is (maybe wrongly) known as the most logical (=predictable, in this round, but it's not a negative) manager in this draft. And I decided that Brehme would be the first choice for most as a left back, and Sven picked him alright. As I said earlier (before receiving a bloody sheep), nothing to do with luck

When does Van Hanegem and Crujff overlap? Van Hanegem ended his career in the end of 1982/83 and went to be their assistant manager, when Crujff arrived in 1983/84.

Here, Cruyff is still Ajax's player in 1982/83.
