No you wouldn't because Tevezbola wouldn't remove a sheep. So you'd be guaranteed to lose one of your better players. Here you can guarantee one stays, and there's a chance of multiple people blocking your other players. You may even get to upgrade one.

Nope. Couple of managers lost the Legacy Player (worst in that draft). Here no chance at losing sheeps. In Tevezobola, the probability of losing your best and worst player is the same. There are no exclusions.

What balances Tevezobola is chance of recovery. No matter who you lost, you can pick a player better than Stankovic or Peruzzi type that I may get stuck with here.

Anyway, I won't argue anymore. You are the draft master and I'll play by your rules here.

This round will be much better done drunk, but damn, it's Monday! :(

Well when you put it like that :p

Objectively it is a good round and it'll be entertaining, only change I would have done is make it so you had to alternate your blocks (so managers with only one great player are vulnerable too) or else have this round later on in the draft when more people have good players.

It is a great round though. I'm only moaning because I'm just expecting to say bye to old Ferenc :(
 
The best part about this so far...is that Theon is part of the best team and says it's unfair because he has so many great players.

EAP is one of the sheepiest teams and says it's unfair because he doesn't have so many great players.

You couldn't make it up :)

I feel your pain absolutely. This is one of the rounds that I'd despise as a manager...But as a neutral, is fun to watch.

I also get why you and EAP have a similar issue but for different reasons.

Tbh, I'm far worse off. NM will trade one of his stars for a mediocre player at best.

I desperately need my GOATS to counter for 2 sheeps. If I lose one, it literally leads to a 1st round exit.

MANAGER EVENT

For the next three stages, you will be trying to snatch a player away from a rival.

Each manager must send in:

A) One player of theirs to be protected through the round
B) One player from another team they want in their squad
C) Which player you propose to swap him for - no sheep allowed (sheep being the pink coloured ones in the player roster), you can't propose a player the other manager has no need for (e.g. a second GK, second RB/LB, etc. straight swaps are recommended). 3) If the targeted player is unprotected, hasn't had interest from other managers, and his manager hasn't lost a player yet, he joins your team, swapped for the one you offered. You will be told: PASS. His manager won't be informed except in exceptional circumstances*.

4) If the targeted player is unprotected, hasn't had interest from other managers, and his manager has had provisionally successful attempts on one or more different players in that same round, then the one offering the better player is successful. Again, the Game Master's view on who is the best player offered as a swap is FINAL. One will get PASS, the others will get BLOCKED and will be flogged as stingy bastards once the round is over.

5) If the targeted player has been snatched already, or the manager has lost a different player in a previous round, you will be told FAIL - MANAGER ALREADY LOST A PLAYER.

*Exceptional circumstances: if (and only if and when) a manager has successfully targeted a player but has lost a player he was offering as a swap (in a previous round or concurrently) he will be told so and asked to pick a different one. He will not be told who is being offered as a swap. Tough shit.

Yeah it would be nice if some of these rounds finish faster esp ones like these and the 100 caps one which barely require any research. Don't want to hurry anyone but I wouldn't mind certain rounds finishing faster just to speed it up a wee bit.

That's precisely why it got postponed for one more round. Unfortunately, that one round made all the difference for EAP :lol:

@Edgar Allan Pillow it's not meant to be logical, or fair. Rebalancing a game is bound to be unfair on some.

If you stopped moaning for a moment, you would realise they've tried to play this far better than you. Theon has made a point of listing every one of your desirable players!!!!

He has also made a point of indicating who they would block, DESPITE BEING SPECIFICALLY TOLD THIS WASN'T ALLOWED.

As a result, the Evil Event Committee is discussing whether NM can protect Platini at all. No announcement will be made one way or the other, obviously.


IMPORTANT: Anyone signalling his target or block will be frowned upon. "Frowning" may involve an otherwise successful attempt being reported as a BLOCK if signalling took place. Equally, if blocks are signalled, the player in question may become unblockable, at least for that round.​

What the feck? I didn't do any of that. I even pointedly quoted skizzo and tagged Theon when Skizzo said that's not allowed. I didn't plan any of that shit.

This is bullshit.
 
And then you tell the draft I may not be allowed to protect Platini, making it open season on one of my players, for something I didn't even do.

See the below posts. If I'm punished for something I didn't even do, I'll be pissed.

I didn't say you did, I said a member of your team did, which equates to the same thing. I noticed you asked, which was the right approach. I noticed you took the answer and tagged him, which is the right thing to do. The answer was blissfully ignored though, wantonly.
