Double picks are ridiculously strong in chain drafts, being first and last is a big advantage in these imo.

We're talking about nations rather than territories tho:

It's obviously a lot more related to Europe(when it comes to race, religion, etc) rather than Asia.

As a territory you can argue that Russia belongs to Asia more than it does to Europe, even though it's a unique case, obviously. I'd have no problem with this view.
In every other way — culturally, ethnically, if we talk about language, architecture, religion etc., Russia is an Eastern European country. Most of our population live in the European part of the country, and Siberia is still mostly unpopulated. Historically as well — the original country was around Kyiv/Novgorod and then slowly expanded on the East before finally conquering Siberia in XVI century.

The rules were pretty clear on the criteria though.
 
@Moby any chance we start between SF and Final of the current draft like we did last time?

Yes. The initial idea was for the draft to restrict picks by neighbouring countries which would mean a singly continent. However a FIT has been provided as a get out of jail card and a bit of a relaxation. That's as far as we can go without pushing the entire theme of the draft.

I thought about the 5 max rule - even then it wouldn't change the scenario you are talking about as you cannot pick >5 players from one continent in that rule and cannot use the FIT till you have 5 players from your current continent.

Either ways, we'll stick to the original rule. One FIT for drafting and one for Reinforcements. Tough luck if anyone wanted players from Africa, Asia or North America!

Doubt anyone would want those either way :lol:

I asked that and the Russia conundrum because if it is allowed, I'd wager we'd have most likely 8-10 USSR/Russian/England keepers in play considering how easy it is to transfer from SA to there.

You can't transfer from SA to either of those countries without using your one and only FIT.

Yeah that's why I asked for the 2nd FIT after turn 10 as drafters usually delay the keeper to the very end.

Better this way (1 for the regular drafting).

That felt like blue balls a bit tbh especially as it was paused right before my turn. :lol:

We will get this going once the final is done especially there might be more discussions and maybe a change in rules would need to be considered to sort the grey areas.
