Wild Tales ( Relatos salvajes) : An Argentine-Spanish black comedy anthology film composed of six standalone shorts, all written and directed by Damián Szifron, united by a common theme of violence and vengeance.
Truly a masterpiece which I'm guessing not many people have seen.Was nominated for The Best Foreign Film Oscar in 2015.

Deadpool 2
Though I liked it for the most part, there were just a few too many jokes, especially in the first act and the story structure seemed all over the place at times. I did laugh out loud a bunch of times and Cable was a total badass. Not as good as the first but still a really fun movie all round 7.5/10
Pacific Rim 2: Uprising
Prefered this to the original. It was AS stupid as the first but seemed to own it more with cheesy speeches and lots more robot vs. monster action 6/10
Birth of the Dragon
Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, BIRTH OF THE DRAGON is a modern take on the classic movies that Bruce Lee was known for. It takes its inspiration from the epic and still controversial showdown between an up-and-coming Bruce Lee and kung fu master Wong Jack Man - a battle that gave birth to a legend. Didn't mind this too much. The guy playing Bruce Lee did ok and the dude playing Wong Jack Man was superb. The fight scenes were really fun and overall, it would have been better if they left the stupid American guys story out of it 6.5/10

Family Blood
A recovering addict struggles to stay sober and look after her kids. Things get worse when she starts a new craving for blood. Really well shot and some great focus pulls and screen blocking but that is all there to hide the boring, ultra slow paced narrative. Didnt care for any character or what was going on 4/10

Popstar - Never Stop Stopping - Rewatched it for the first time since it released, and still found it to be hilarious... Andy Samberg is always right up my street in terms of comedy... and this is no different. A excellent piss-take on newer generation popstars, some strong laughs, and some great songs to go with it all.
Well, apart from the Things in My Jeep song... I just couldn't relate as I have different things in my Jeep.
Deadpool 2 - Enjoyable overall... the second half of it is definitely stronger then the first half though... all the Team X-Force stuff was great.

Don’t know about the exact rating for now. The animation was great, but that’s a given with Wes Anderson. His movies always look great. Had some really good laughs, I especially liked the Haikus.
At times I was a bit worried about how the Japanese were shown. But I guess in the end it was alright and more of a homage and not a parody. But I guess I’m not the one to judge here.

Anyone seen Veronica on Netflix? Supposedly a super-creepy horror film. Weirdly it got 89% on RT from critcs, but just 46% from the audience.

As possession films go , it was better than 99% of the other I have seen.
For me it was defo a film of 2 halfs, the first hour I thought was a bit boring , nothing much happened, few glimpses of a figure, the last 30 mins or so was better.

I agree with @Dirty Schwein , it was really atmospheric and creepy with great performances, character depth, empathy towards the main family and genuinely scary moments, thought the mother was a stone cold bitch to be honest.
But still easy one of the best possession films I have seen and well worth watching.

Lots of memorable lines. A bit ham-fisted at times in the way it's trying to put its message across but is mostly quite prescient (especially today) and so gets away with that more than a lesser film would. Excellent acting performances as well.

A bit of an un-Ken Loach film for Ken Loach in its romanticism, but still plenty of naturalistic dialogue as well and a lot of brutality. Murphy's excellent and the film's eventual conflict in the second half manages to help it stray away from a typical underdog story vs big bad oppressors (which was already very entertaining in itself) onto something a lot thornier and more morally interesting. Loach's political stances (as always) are on show but he manages to present them in a fairly nuanced way and so gets away with it. Very good.

Aside from being inherently awful on every conceivable level, it does explain so, so much. Particularly all those weird scenes in Man of Steel where Superman’s asshole dad tells him never to save anyone, ever, and his mom tells him he’s too special to owe anyone anything.

Ready Player One
Maybe it's because everyone I know seemed to hate it and that led to me having super low expectations for this but I quite enjoyed it. Was a visual spectacle and really had a good time looking for gaming references all over the place. The story was as good as it needed to be, wasn't expecting The Godfather from the narrative. Yeah, it's a decent film 7.5/10

A rare horror film where it doesn't focus on jump scares and instead on atmosphere and tension. Loved the family drama in the centre of the movie and the concept of monsters attacking by sound added a great layer or suspense. My main criticism is that you do have to suspend a lot of disbelief with this movie and at times, characters do stupid stuff because the plot requires it 7.5/10

A family of four staying at a secluded mobile home park for the night are stalked and then hunted by three masked psychopaths. So after a 10 year wait the sequel is finally out. The first half of this film is amazing. Really loved the family dynamics and the build up of pure anxiety. It had a great, 80s style cinematography, which added to the creepy atmosphere it was building. Then the second half happened. Pretty much just copied the cliches and tropes of generic horror/slashers and reminded me that the lack of plot and lack of originality that the film has. Such a shame as the first half is so damn good 6.5/10

A couple decides to have a baby, well bad fecking luck because it turns out to be a mutant monster baby which kills when scared.
Disappointed at the lack of deaths and gore in this movie. The premise was great, and the birth scene terrific. But just not enough blood and guts for a movie of this kind

Doesn't deviate from the formula. No surprises. Denzel does his usual stuff. Chris Pratt's had a nice role. Worth a watch if you have time to kill.

Solo - what a waste of everyone's time. An absolute car crash. Even Glover and Waller-Bridge kinda suck. These side episodes are proving to be absolute lemons.
Watched Cargo, a slightly offbeat zombie movie, it's on Netflix just now, Martin Freeman is the lead character, set in Australia, with a slightly different slant on the whole zombie phenomenon. Not so much blood and gore but more about the characters and how they try to survive with the Indigenous Australians taking a different approach to the apocalypse, I thought it was excellent.

You Were Never Really Here - Hollowly undercooked and jarring. Tried to evoke the likes of Taxi Driver, Night Moves and Point Blank but mostly ended up being a slightly art-house Liam Neeson/Nicolas Cage flick. Ramsay needs to stop poking her finger in the American psyche and start making films across the pond again.
