Soderbergh improved upon his predecessor's version. I doubt whoever helms this will.

Knew I'd get a nibble with that one.you cannot be serious?

I met him at a dogfight once, and he was surprisingly racist and sexist. He is anti charismatic.
Got me too.Knew I'd get a nibble with that one.

It’s basically a fill-in-the-blank inversion of the “he was surprisingly nice and very down to earth”. I think I read it on here somewhere, years ago! There's a joke there somewhere that I don't get. Was he awkward the entire time and kept touching his hair?
I quite like him, I will watch them. It's a decent action franchise, nothing more than that. For me it doesn't help that I am not fan of Keanu's acting, I think he could definitely be the most overrated actor on planet, or definitely the most awkward one.
Nope.I saw John Wick 1 and was underwhelmed and hated 2. Did anything happen in 3 that would make it worthwhile wading through 3 to watch 4?
Nope.
I have never seen any of them , are they worth watching ?
The exact historical accuracy of the ceasefire negotiations were more or less irrelevant to me. It was the surreal disconnect between thousands getting slaughtered while they happend reinforced by details like worrying about how fresh the croissants were.
In our house I tend to be the one who gets a tear in my eye but my wife was really effected by this film at the end. Maybe because my son is about the protagonists age but maybe as it was all such a waste.
The God of action movies returns
and it's with a silent film.
Oh my…
The best thing anyone can say about a movie."This is either going to be a genius move or a disaster, there's no in between."
Btw I end up watching bad acting by Keanu on youtube:
Children of Men
I watched it when it came out, but for some reason it didn't stick with me. Loved it now, though. I guess it's a bit of classic, so not much to add. I don't even know what this kind of aesthetic is called, but I like it. 10/10
For some reason I had this memory that Monica Bellucci plays in this one, and I was eagerly waiting for her to show up until I realized I had to settle with Julianne Moore. I had to check, and I guess I was thinking about Shoot 'em Up, which I suppose was so forgettable that my brain just merged it with this one.
Just my sort of film they are on my watch list .If you like movies that are full of gratuitous violence, then yes.
I farqing love the John Wick series. They are such entertaining movies.
I don't think anyone does, really. I'm not even sure he does - I was listening to the Smartless podcast where he was a guest and he was making fun of his accent in Dracula for example. He seems to be a sound guy, that has had a rough ride, and I think there's a lot of sympathy for him too - on top of that, he physically fits the role perfectly, so I think people don't really care about his acting.Does anyone actually rate him as an actor though?
Best film of the year. It's gorgeous.Aftersun
This movie is just perfect. What I love most about the film is how subtle it is. It’s not banging you around the head saying YOU SHOULD BE FEELING EMOTIONS NOW. It creeps up on you out of nowhere, and before you know it you’re a wreck! There’s not much more to say about it really. Just watch it, because saying what the film is about doesn’t come close to capturing what it really is.
It's so so good, and one that is ageing extremely well. I also rewatched it recently with one of my friends who hadn't seen it and he loved it. It's pretty much the perfect creation of a dystopian world, and in terms of pure cinematography, it's up there with the best. Some of the shots and camera work are breathtaking.Children of Men

I suppose it shows how important timing is. I recently watched Immortal (2004) which I thought was quite cool when it came out, but god did it age poorly, totally unwatchable. Not that I'm comparing it to Children of Men...I was the other way around. I liked it far more when I first watched it and was underwhelmed when watching it again more recently. Go figure.
Absolutely agree. I was a bit surprised to see that he hasn't really made much since. Gravity and then Roma, in like 17 years. It's so so good, and one that is ageing extremely well. After Elem Klimov made Come And See, he pretty much called it quits telling people he hasn't got anything more to say. I do sort of wonder if it's the same with Cuarón(Roma is a nostalgia piece and Gravity is more about the technical achievement).Absolutely agree. I was a bit surprised to see that he hasn't really made much since. Gravity and then Roma, in like 17 years.
It's a Limmy thing. It’s basically a fill-in-the-blank inversion of the “he was surprisingly nice and very down to earth”. I think I read it on here somewhere, years ago!
Not a review, but damn, only 16 minutes…
He does it too, title of one of his books, but it didn’t originate with him. Back when Steve Martin was filming Father of the Bride (1991) in Pasadena, they used my grandparents’ house as a location, and Steve Martin would pose for pictures—but instead of autographs he handed out a business card that read “I met Steve Martin and he was surprisingly down to earth and very funny.”It's a Limmy thing.

Oddly I did meet Steve Martin once and he was surprisingly down to Earth and very funny.
