The bad "V"
More people need to play AI: The Somnium Files and if this doesn't convince you, you simply have no heart.
Yeah, reb0 did a decent guesstimate vid on the release date and I can trust that guy. February it was. I think it will only be for Switch at the start anyway. It will come next year. No need to worry.

I've completed it now. It's an amazing game. There's a sequel coming early next year too.
Worth finishing just for the end credits scene.
It was something they extracted from Nvidia servers man. Not even a leak, just something from notes on their event that was eventually not released. Not much of a guesstimate when the leak said it was in February.
Nice. I meant to ask you how you were getting on
I've got as far as Ota and Iris's endings. I also got to the part where Boss shootsbut the next chapter is locked until I do more of the story.Sejima
For a while, I was looking at the flowchart trying to figure out who the killer was based on logic. Suffice to say, after going through Iris's ending I'm no longer hanging onto rational conclusions
I love the writing and characters. It's genuinely bonkers but I've not played a game like it before.
You're well into the story now then and things really start to intensify. Each route from now is pretty dramatic.
I was way off on my predictions, but got one main idea right which plays out in the conclusion. The characters are amazing, some of the best I've seen in a game - it's also hilarious all the way through. Did you get the first joke ending with the receptionist - I think you should have seen that by now?
Still makes calling it a guesstimate laughable to me. Its based on information that has come out without the developers say so (which I consider a leak). It was something they extracted from Nvidia servers man. I have zero trust on Team Cherry at this point. They obviously have a product, but I think they were not ready for HK's popularity and the fact that it has a huge fanbase now. Silksong initially was more of a spin off but at this stage, it cannot be anything less than a proper sequel. It's basically being in that uni project where you have asked for ten deadline extensions saying you will make it great, but have done sweet feckall and now can't really show face.
I had completely forgot about Hunters Journal while doing the Pantheons. Back on the road again...You can finish on 114% completion
Hunter's Journal doesn't count towards completion percentage, as far as I know. Then again, 114% completion doesn't exist either.I had completely forgot about Hunters Journal while doing the Pantheons. Back on the road again...
I've been played by fecking Elvis.Hunter's Journal doesn't count towards completion percentage, as far as I know. Then again, 114% completion doesn't exist either.
He's got a measly 103%, what does he know?I've been played by fecking Elvis.
True. He's got a measly 103%, what does he know?
You need to find an item which is late in the game to have the completion percentage displayed on your save.So where do you check this completion %? I'm only a little bit in (reached fungal wastes) but I don't see myself getting all completionist
Thanks. You need to find an item which is late in the game to have the completion percentage displayed on your save.
The game isn't linear so it's hard to say. Progression is tied more to which abilities you've gained and how many dreamers you've killed. Rest assured, if you want to see everything it has to offer, you're not close to done yet.Thanks.
I'm done with Crystal Peak and have got the super dash. Hopefully I'm not too far into the game. It's so hard to put down. I was liking Immortal Phoenix but this has pulled me away from it.
Awesome. Given this is the Voidhart Edition I imagine the content is a lot of beefed up than the original base version, too.The game isn't linear so it's hard to say. If we are only talking about the first ending that can be done by finishing only half the total number of areas in the game but similar to souls games the optional areas not only give you their own boss battles but also items and abilities that open up more endings. There are 5 endings and you should at least get the first 3.Thanks.

Yeah that means you have the Lifeblood, Godhome and Grimm Troupe expansions which is everything. Both Grimm Troupe and Godhome can be unlocked at any point. Godhome should be done at the end as that needs you having to beat all bosses in the main game first. Grimm Troupe is awesome but level up a bit first. The boss is a nightmare (literally).Given this is the Voidhart Edition I imagine the content is a lot of beefed up than the original base version, too.
Yeah the music is fantastic, every track just fits the environment so well. Personal favourites are Dirtmouth and White Palace. It's incredible how they just got everything spot on, artwork, sound design, movement, combat, lore, world design, boss design, etc. It's a masterpiece.Awesome. Given this is the Voidhart Edition I imagine the content is a lot of beefed up than the original base version, too.
Also, music. For me it really elevates a gaming experience and Hollow Knight nails (pun not intended) it.
THK which is similar is awesome as well and ties into the same story. Always love Greenpath for both the OST and the art design. Mantis Lords is awesome as well.Personal favourites are Dirtmouth and White Palace
Christopher Larkin did a phenomenal job on the soundtrack. I'm really looking forward if he can match this in Silksong.THK which is similar is awesome as well and ties into the same story. Always love Greenpath for both the OST and the art design. Mantis Lords is awesome as well.
There is a series in youtube where music composers analyze the OST and how brilliantly structured it is.
If I ever do another playthrough it will be for speedrunning. Any% is really fun and doesn't take that long (Watcher Knights laugh reading that). But at least I'd wanna attempt that and see how much I can optimize.Christopher Larkin did a phenomenal job on the soundtrack. I'm really looking forward if he can match this in Silksong.
All this Hollow Knight talk tempts me to go for yet another playthrough. I really can't get dragged into it again, ffs.
I did one in 2.5 hours for the Steam achievement (under 3 hours). That's without shade skipping or anything. I can confirm Watcher Knights are a pain in such a run, and that's after I had already finished the POH 6 times, so I had that fight on lock. Of course, that was with shade cloaking through them or if necessary double-jumping over them, neither of which are available during a speedrun. I lost at least 30 minutes on them.If I ever do another playthrough it will be for speedrunning. Any% is really fun and doesn't take that long (Watcher Knights laugh reading that). I know for a fact I can't do the shade skip. I think the acid skips are probably doable. But yeah all that is meaningless when I think of going for Watcher Knights with a base nail and nothing but Shaman Stone.
Oh absolutely. Even with an upgraded nail without quick slash it's not easy but with a base nail and 5 masks... ugh. Just need to have most of the attacks through pogo and stay in the air. So yeah for me this is more of a pipe dream, if a guy like you who's mastered the PoH is finding it tough, it's pretty much out of scope for me.And actually, The Hollow Knight, who is usually a pushover of a final boss, is actually pretty fecking tough at the end of that run as well.
It's such a different challenge. POH is a marathon and a test of consistency with all the tools and upgrades at your disposal. In the speedrun, you're severely under-equiped but you just need a single win against those bosses, so it's definitely not that bad. Just a little frustrating if you go in expecting to curb stomp them because that's what you're used to.Oh absolutely. Anyway I fear we've turned the general gaming thread into another Hollow Knight thread.
I started Quantum Break last night. Anybody played it?
Seems interesting so far.
I lost interest in it a few hours in. I like the idea and the story, but the gameplay is so boring after the initial getting of the powers.
I probably will go back to it at some point to see where it goes, but I'm in no rush.

A step in the right direction with Game Pass on PC modding support being able to choose separate drives for games installation (yes we are really just getting this in 2021 )
They could just scrap the app and do us all a favour but at least its progress.
I think it's on my ps plus list. But average gameplay probably won't be for me. As it is Tales from the Borderlands despite being well written is hard for me to get through.Finished Quantum Break last night. It had a bit of a rough start and the gameplay is a little sloppy but the story is interesting and I really liked the real-life TV show stuff.
It's a weird game because it's quite experimental for a blockbuster game. It doesn't marry all of its ideas together but once you turn your brain off it does kinda work.
I saw somebody on the internetz say it's like the equivalent of a campy SyFy show - I very much agree with that.
What would I give it? Maybe a 3/5.
