I know. Having Chelsea players hurt me before, but the same people worship Giggs and Rooney. I can't account for people being hypocrites!

While you have a point, Terry was club and national team captain and Johnson was his teammate in both. It does matter IMO. Giggs and Rooney you can put at the same level as Cashley and his phone sex, or being a knob with the people's darling wife of his.

I'm not overly fussed about what players do in their personal lives, it's their business and all I expect them is to act professionally on the pitch and in the bootroom. Boning a teammate's wife is out of order, let alone if you are the captain.
 
Looking through the sides here and everyone's done a good job it seems. Can't see any particular standout in a good or a bad way. Next few picks will be key I guess as the options start to run out. Lots of quality in certain positions still remaining

The closed down decades are key. I have no idea why people were saying the 50s had little quality to go for, it had stacks of players in certain positions and at this point I'd say it's the best hunting ground out there. Fullbacks, CBs and keepers in particular, which is what starts lacking at the business end of the draft.

Of course, there's always the bonus of not picking those and taking the ones others outside the 50s pool would be scrambling for.

I do. My girlfriend knew nothing about football and got me an (official!) Giggs jersey. It sits in my closet. She didn't understand until I explained it to her. Its the same way somebody in the other thread is saying calling a person the N word is worse than doing your brothers wife. Its ridiculous.

Yeah I understand and I completely agree as well. Just that on a forum with 50 people voting you would have most of them not caring much about what Giggs did while on the other hand cashley, terry, suarez etc would be ridiculed. It IS hypocrisy, just that it is expected here.
 
Not a fan of wearing jerseys anymore, but if I was, I'd still wear that Giggs shirt.

Aldo is right about this being a can of worms we should steer clear of. You seem to take the morals of a player very seriously (and I see your point absolutely from that perspective), while I only care about the football side of things and don't expect them to be pillars of the community. Choices, nothing to discuss.

Agreed. Never make an idol of rich man based on their personal life, but more on their achievement.

It isn't the place but I think you're spot on, what Giggs did is worse than anything Terry or Cole did but they get treated completely differently
