Instead of going for 16 teams, we can try for just 8 teams. Think that can solve the problem.
Should we not get 16 players we can still go for 8 teams. Teams with AM get 4-6 hrs per pick, teams without AM get 6-8 hrs
Yeah, that could work as well. I think we are running these drafts cyclically, so ODI is the next one up I guess.

We should do a league at some point as well. 8 teams battling it out over the course of a season with a transfer window in between them. It'll be interesting.

How about an ODI "not good enough" draft? Only players who have debuted after 1990, and played more than 5 but fewer than 50 ODI games eligible?

Shittiest team draft would be good. You draft the worst team you can, swap it with your opponent who tries to argue why it would win. Loser goes through

Yup, some players who no one remembers will be unearthed. There have been far too many shit players who have played international cricket.

Sadagopan Ramesh:p

EDIT: On second thought VRV singh was worse:lol:

Hrishikesh Kanitkar. fecking hated that guy. Piece of shit.

Love it. Probably best as a sheep draft imo, to ensure enough bowlers are picked, there is a WK etc.
Auction draft would be cool as well. Shittiest player going for the highest amount

This idea is really growing on me:lol:

Min 20 games I'd say. Would love to see who the first pick wlll be

I think 20 games is too high. If you're that shit you don't get 20 games. I'd say 5.

Nah Auction draft is too much work. Normal snake draft works fine.

How do you stop someone buying a team with no bowlers though? Or only bowlers? Or no one remotely capable of keeping wicket?

think you can work around that with a few rules. Need to pick at least one player who's kept wickets for 20 games; Need to pick at least 4 frontline bowlers and 6 batters. A mod can judge the criteria.

I don't think most of us would remember players with such few games. They have to be a bit memorable, and it's more relative shitness really.

Yeah, I guess. Think if you're going to do that it makes it perfect for a sheep draft though. You both picked Ashok Dinda in round 3? One of you gets Sachin, the other Viv.

Only issue with a sheep draft is coming up wit categories. Was hard enough when it was a proper draft but with a shit player draft it's going to be tough. That said, it will be interesting to see the shit players people can come up.

We can work on the rules accordingly:
Just as an example
For WK: Kept wickets in atleast 60% of the games the player has played in,
For Bowlers : 4 players who have bowled in every game they have played in and bowled atleast 5x overs (where x is no. of games played), and 1 player who has bowled in 75% of the games played in.
For batsmen: we can have similar criteria

I love the idea.

Only thing to ensure is that people balance their teams; else I'd just stick in 11 batsmen with no keeper;

I just remembered this idea. We should do this next. Drafts can be serious business but this would be fecking hilarious and something new.

I'll be more interested in running it. Don't have time to participate

Sounds batshit crazy - I'd be up for that
