If I can't have him, I'm making sure nobody else is having him either! :lol:

Quality player. I remember bumping a thread about him on the Caf a little while back. Probably my favourite playmaker of the 2000s.
 
Yeah Riquelme was fundamental in Cling Bak winning the 70s draft. Kps is looking the strongest for me.

Presuming we're counting qualifiers, he has 21. Played both legs v Everton.

Very good player, bit hot and cold and was verrrrryyyy slow, one of the best passers of the ball of all time, some show on him aswell.
 
OP says no qualifiers to be counted. To be honest, I'd turn a blind eye to it but other brilliant players came close to 20 Champions League games and are also ineligible. Aldair is one who springs to mind.
 
I'm sorry for being the bearer of bad news, kps, but them's the rules. If there was a wildcard pick where we could choose somebody that met all other parameters but didn't quite get the 20 Champions League appearances, I'd be all for it.
 
I wanted Requelme too but saw he only had 19 games. A good few players I really want have between 15 and 19 appearances!
 
kps has fecked off, blissful in the knowledge that he has secured Riquelme. We would have a dilemma whether to go forward or not but Ralaks is up so we're safe for at least today.
 
Qualifiers dont count, but he has 10 for Villarreal, that was the season they made the semis - I think transfermarket is wrong, world football has the lineups and it lists 10

Fair enough. As I said, the game is being played in fine spirits thus far and it would have been cruel to deny him his pick. I only offered transfermarkt as a source as that's the one we were advised to use.

Great pick all the same, even though I doubt kps knew Riquelme was so very nearly not eligible! :D

Don't think I ever watched a more tumescent group than that one in history. Some of the football us and the rest of the teams played was horrendous
 
If people don't see that they'll be available when their turn might be up they can at least PM person that picks after them and tell him their pick. Most of us do it already. If your pick get's picked in the mean time, fair enough. At least you tried. I get that you don't want to give up two names as they 2nd name might then be on the next person mind.
